The contact’s daughter owned a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving at an unknown speed, another vehicle crashed into the front passenger’s side of the vehicle and another vehicle crashed into the front driver’s side of the vehicle, causing the vehicle to roll three times. The contact stated that the air bags failed to deploy. As a result of the air bag’s failure to perform as needed, the passenger sustained injuries to the chest and head, and also had a seizure. The contact’s daughter sustained an injury to the head and punctured lungs. Medical attention was required. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and deemed a total loss by the insurance company. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact depressed the brake pedal and jumped out of the vehicle while the vehicle was still rolling. The contact had not pulled over. The contact did not sustain injuries from the fire. A nearby Police Officer notified the Fire Department and Emergency Services because the contact had jumped out of the moving vehicle without the cellphone. The fire was extinguished by the Fire Department. The front end and the hood of the vehicle were burned to the ground. It was unknown whether a Fire Department Report was filed. A Police Report was filed. The vehicle was towed and deemed a total loss by the Insurance Provider. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 134,959.

While driving at around 30mph on a winding hill the steering locked forcing a crash into a guard rail.
I was driving my vehicle on the expressway and a dash light with an “A” and a circle came on. My car began to slow down on its own and would not allow me to accelerate. I managed to coast off the expressway to an exit. I immediately smelled gas and my eyes began to burn. I tried to restart my car but it was sputtering. I checked under the hood and the car smelled like strong gas. After this my eyes were burning as if someone sprayed pepper spray in them. I had get assistance to get a tow. I went to a nearby urgent care to get my eyes checked out because after all of this they were blood shot red….I see that some 2020 2.0L Jeeps have a fuel line recall but my recall isn’t showing up. This vehicle should definitely have a recall. I also have issues with my radio saying “overheating” then the volume goes out and the radio shuts off.

My Jeep Wrangler 2020 Sports Unlimited started malfunctioning on the road and the Jeep stopped, started smoking, caught on fire, and Blew up
Unknown what started the issue. While driving it, service electronic control dash light went on. The vehicle started losing power. We were able to get to the highway shoulder. Other dash lights were going on as we were moving over. Immediately after putting it in park and turning the vehicle off, smoke started billowing out from the hood. The vehicle engine was on fire and it was completely destroyed. The only on-going issue we had with it was auto start/stop with both auxiliary and main battery having to be replaced twice over the course of 4 years. There was an active recall for fuel pump component and we were on a waiting list for parts from the dealer since Sept 2023 and we were still waiting.
on 17th July 2024 afternoon I was driving the jeep and the engine started smoking. I quickly pulled the vehicle to the side of the road and within a couple of minutes the engine was on fire. I have raised the issue with Jeep and awaiting their response
I was driving home with my 3 kids in the car. Age 13,10,2 We were almost home and my daughter shouted from the back seat… “ there’s a fire .. there’s a fire” my self and my 13 year old son proceeded to look outside the car for a fire. We both kept saying where? My daughter then said “ right there look up” we both looked and the passenger side visor was in flames where it connects to the roof of the jeep. My son tried to blow it out but it sparked up 2 more times before he held the visor up before the fire went out completely. This was absolutely terrifying. I’m so worried my car is going to catch on fire while I am sleeping tonight. Please help
I was driving my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with 34,950 miles on it on the night of 12/13/2022 along I 89 in New Hampshire at a steady 65mph in 6th gear in the far-left lane. Suddenly the tachometer started soaring towards the redline. Before it hit redline, there was an explosion underneath the Jeep. As I looked in the mirror to get to the side of the road, I saw two chunks of glowing hot metal exiting the underside. There were no warning lights or other indication of what was about to happen. I got it safely to the breakdown lane. Someone called in a small brush fire because a fire truck showed up, then a couple of State Police Troopers showed up and helped call a tow truck. It cost $350 for the tow to the nearest dealership and the Uber home. At the dealership I could see a huge crack in the transmission case. From the repair order included, there was damage to the clutch, transmission, starter, flywheel, electrical harness and main seal. I was told the faulty parts were returned to Jeep for inspection. There was a recall on the clutch pressure plate (21V-028) and the "repair" had been completed on my vehicle. The "repair" did not work and people are going to get hurt. Although no one was injured this time, this could have ended very badly if the hot metal shrapnel cut a tire or hit a car behind me. From my little bit of research, this failure is becoming quite common and many people are driving a ticking time bomb.
After stopping my Jeep on September 27th smoke was coming out of the engine immediately. There had been no warning lights on the dash or any smells from the engine. I got out and tried to open the hood and the engine was already fully engulfed in fire. Our Jeep had never had any engine trouble or been into the dealership except to have the oil changed. Upon doing my own investigation I have seen many of these fires. Something is definitely wrong with this engine. I could have lost my life.

The contact lifted the hood, rolled the windows down, and waited for the vehicle to cool down. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer where it was diagnosed. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and informed about a refund on towing. The approximate failure mileage was 30,791.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee 4Xe vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Solución: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. The remaining owner notification letters will be mailed at a later date. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 68C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning November 6, 2025. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The wiring harness for the rearview camera and the center brake light may short circuit, which can disable the rearview camera image and center brake light. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 111, "Rear Visibility" and 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Solución: Dealers replaced the harness for the center brake light and rearview camera and/or the spare tire carrier/harness assembly, as necessary, free of charge.
