RETURNING TO TN FROM VACATION IN FL ON 7/15/12. TRAVELING BEFORE BIRMINGHAM, AL - HEARD A LOUD BOOM SOUND (LIKE A TIRE BLOW OUT), THEN HEARD A ROAR. AS WE SIGNALED TO MOVE FROM THE FAST LANE TO THE EMERGENCY LANE - FLAMES WERE OVER THE BACK WINDOW OF THE CAR. BY THE TIME THAT WE REACHED THE EMERGENCY LANE, THE ENTIRE CAR WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. THE CAR WAS ENTIRELY ENGULFED IN FLAMES WITHIN 10 TO 20 SECONDS. I HAD PURCHASED THE CAR FROM MOSS MOTOR COMPANY IN SOUTH PITTSBURGH, TN ON 6/4/12. THE CAR HAD ISSUES WITHIN TWO WEEKS THAT REQUIRED THE CAR TO BE TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER FOR POWERTRAIN ISSUE. DEALER DID NOT SHARE THE TICKET WITH ME ON REPAIRS THAT WERE COMPLETED TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE CAR EXPLODED. BUT THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR OVER ONE WEEK TO FIX THE ISSUE THAT CAUSED IT TO STOP PULLING WHILE DRIVING. THIS WAS THE FIRST LONG TRIP THAT I HAD TAKEN IN THE CAR. MY TWO PASSENGERS EXPERIENCED MILD BURNS BUT WE LOST ALL PERSONAL ITEMS IN THE CAR DUE TO THE SPEED THAT THE CAR BURNED. ALABAMA HIGHWAY PATROL WORKED THE EXPLOSION AND FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD TO WORK THE FIRE. STATE FARM ASSURED ME THAT THEY WOULD INVESTIGATE THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE BUT HAS JUST INFORMED ME THAT THEY DID NOT DO A THOROUGH INVESTIGATION. I HAVE WITNESS NAMES AND CONTACT INFORMATION AS WELL AS PHOTOGRAPHS THAT THEY TOOK AS THE CAR BURNED IF NEEDED. *TR

I was rear ended while parked at a stop light, the force of the impact drove me into the vehicle in front of me. During the accident my seatbelt pretensioner failed to work at the same time my sun visor unexpectedly dropped down swung towards me and my head struck the edge of the visor which made a gash in my forehead down in between my eyes, there was blood visibly running down my nose at the scene of the accident. I went to the ER afterwards to seek medical attention. 3 days after the accident i suffered a seizure, i have no prior seizures before this incident. Since the accident i’ve continued to have headaches, signs of short term memory loss, and having trouble finding words sometimes.
my car was rear ended in an accident somebody ran into the back of my car while i was stopped/parked at a stop light.. the impact was so hard that i crashed into another vehicle that was in front of me. I was wearing a seatbelt at the time but somehow still hit my head on the steering wheel and suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury because the seatbelt didn’t secure me and the airbags didn’t deploy.
The contact owned a 2010 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while her son was driving 35 MPH, the steering wheel locked, became difficult to maneuver, causing the contact son vehicle to encounter a tree. No warning light was illuminated. The air bag did not deploy. The contacts son called 911 after the failure. The contact son sustained injuries to the chest, face, back of his neck, and his knees. A police report was filed. Medical attention was required. The vehicle was towed to Larry Campbell's Towing Garage. The insurance company deemed the vehicle a total loss. The vehicle's steering wheel was repaired once. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and closed contact case due to not being able to obtain the vehicle to remove a part of the vehicle. The failure mileage was 189,000.
I was driving my 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid down the highway when suddenly i was unable to steer anymore. I was changing lanes and the wheel locked at an angle causing me to cross multiple lanes of traffic and eventually hitting another car. The car ended up being claimed as a total loss. I am still required to pay more for insurance now because the accident was caused because of my cars steering rack failing and locking. There have been hundreds of complaints describing exactly what happened to me. No warning lights or any other warning signs. Just sudden and total failure. Its more upsetting knowing that the 2011 and 2012 model years had a recall for this but the 2010 did not even though the steering rack has the same exact part numbers. Insurance didnt even do an investigationand i was told it was because theres no way to investigate it after the crash which i know is a lie. I absolutely hate the fact that im still affected by this financially and ford doesnt care at all about the people it has happened to.
