"TAKARA RECALL" I STARTED NOTICED SQUEAKING WHEN PRESSING THE BREAKS. THIS AUTOMATICALLY MAKING ME ASSUME THAT MY BRAKES/BRAKE PADS WERE GOING BAD. I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL SHOP AND AFTER CHECKING IT OUT THEY SUGGESTED THE BRAKES WERE FINE AND THAT I NEEDED TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO DO SO, I HAD COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE. I WAS ATTEMPTING TO COME TO A STOP WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS PRESSED ALL THE WAY DOWN AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SLOWING NOR WERE THE BRAKES CATCHING. THUS RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT. THE DART IS A TOTAL LOSS. MY LIFE AS WELL AS MY CHILDREN'S LIVES WERE PUT IN DANGER. ALL AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS HIT AS WELL. VIN NOT VALID *JB
Car was wrecked at 85 miles a hour and rolled 7 times and not a single air bag deployed
THE AIR BAGS ON THIS CAR FAILED TO DEPLOY FROM A BAD CAR ACCIDENT. MY CAR WAS HIT NEAR THE RIGHT FRONT FROM A PERSON THAT RAN A RED LIGHT. THE FRONT END DAMAGE WAS HORRIBLE TO SAY THE LEAST AS TO WHERE THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER SAID TO ME THAT THE CAR HAS TO BE TOTALED. EXTENSIVE FRAME DAMAGE FROM THIS ACCIDENT AND DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIR BAD NEVER DEPLOYED FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON. THE CONSUMER OWNS ANOTHER VEHICLE SAME MAKE/MODEL AND QUESTIONS IF THE VEHICLE IS SAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO THE PREVIOUS VEHICLE FAILING. *JS *JS
TL* THE CONTACT RENTED A 2016 DODGE DART. WHILE PARKING, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED FORWARD WITHOUT WARNING AND CRASHED INTO A BUILDING. THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND TOWED BACK TO THE RENTAL COMPANY. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUFFERED INJURIES AND RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. ON 3/7/2019, I TOTALED MY CAR AS I WAS T-BONED. THIS ACCIDENT BROKE MY AXLE, AND DENTED IN MY DRIVERS SIDE REAR DOOR TO THE POINT WHERE I COULD NOT OPEN IT. MY 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS IN THE BACKSEAT AND SMACKED HER FACE OFF OF THE SEAT AND WINDOW BRUISING THE WHOLE SIDE OF HER FACE AND GIVING HER A BLACK EYE. FOR SOME REASON, NO AIRBAG WAS DEPLOYED. I WAS HOPEFUL AT FIRST, THAT MAYBE IT DIDN'T DEPLOY SINCE IT WAS A "SMALL" ACCIDENT, BUT NOW THAT THE CAR IS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS, I FEEL LIKE SOMETHING IS OBVIOUSLY WRONG WITH THIS SITUATION. WHEN I WAS T-BONED, I WAS DRIVING THROUGH A STOP SIGN (AFTER MAKING MY STOP) TO WHICH I DID NOT SEE A CAR ON THE OTHER SIDE OF A CAR TURNING TOWARDS ME. THIS CAR WAS GOING APPROX 30-40 MPH (IF FOLLOWING STREET SIGNS). THIS CAR'S AIRBAGS DEPLOYED, YET MY DAUGHTERS, ON HER DOOR, FAILED TO DEPLOY. THIS CAR DID NOT HIT ME UNTIL I WAS ALMOST TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STREET. I ALSO SAW HER AT THE LAST MINUTE AND INSTEAD OF BREAKING (A NORMAL REACTION) I TRIED TO SPEED UP TO AVOID THE ACCIDENT. IF THE SAFETY INFORMATION ONLINE IS CORRECT, IT STATES THAT THE AIRBAG SENSOR FOR THE SIDE-REAR IMPACT IS BETWEEN THE TIRE AND THE REAR DOOR, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHERE I WAS HIT.

THE DRIVER WAS INJURED ON THE LEFT SIDE OF HIS BODY DUE TO HIS BODY GOING UNDER THE STEERING WHEEL. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO KNOWN INJURIES TO THE OCCUPANTS OF THE OTHER VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. UPON DRIVING THE CAR ON THE FREEWAY YESTERDAY, THE 2016 DODGE DART STARTED TO SHAKE AND THE CAR WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN. THE PASSENGER FRONT WHEEL CONTROL ARM, TIRE, AND CV JOINT COMPLETELY FEEL OFF THE VEHICLE WHICH CAUSED AN ACCIDENT.
I came home from work, (drove 18 miles) and parked, walked towards my building and I heard a noise, as if something turned on under the hood. Like a electrical motor spinning. And it was not the fan because that one had already turned off. I walk back to the car and pop the hood, white smoke starts coming out and in less than 2 minutes a huge flame comes straight out from the passenger side of the hood. Called the fire department. Fire was on for 4 minutes, neighbor mechanics came running with fire extinguishers and put out the fire before the firefighters arrived. Too many parts melted and damaged. So far estimate is at $4,000. I do not have the estimate on paper, since at the moment I did not have budget to fix my car. My car was perfectly fine, services got done regularly. Never had issues other than wear and tear. I've had that car for almost 10 years.

THE POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS WERE AT THE SCENE AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000.
MY SON PARKED THE VEHICLE AFTER DRIVING IT APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES. HE WENT INTO HIS DORM ROOM AND WAS INFORMED SHORTLY AFTER THAT HIS CAR WAS ON FIRE. THE ENGINE HAD IGNITED.
This complaint is additional information for original complaint 11535053 7/28/2023 I have diagnosed the issue I have taken pictures of the entire brake booster that failed, and have held on to the parts for the investigation. The vehicle had the updated vacuum line. Still oil present in brake booster.
Was stopped, with foot on brake dropping kids off at school Heard a pop and hiss. Brake pedal became rock hard, and car rolled into kids crossing road for the school. I seen this issue is for 2013-2014 It should be extended to include 2015-2016 also. As they continued to install parts with known issues until the car was dissolved. I have attempted to source parts. All brake boosters for this car have been recalled, with no timeline for remedy. Part 77215 I have also tried the dealership, they said none available and don't offer a timeline. This car is still financed, and now unrepairable. How is that even a thing?
PURCHASED CAR NEW JAN 2017. ON 3/3/19 AT APPROX. 18 MPH WHILE ATTEMPTING A LEFT TURN IN TO OUR NEIGHBORHOOD I HEARD A LOUD POP AND CAR JERKED TO THE LEFT HITTING A CURB. UPON VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE CAR IT APPEARED THAT THE AXLE POPPED OUT OF JOINT AND CONTROL ARM BROKE IN TWO. BECAUSE OF THIS TWO PARTS MALFUNCTIONING THE CAR HIT THE CURB, CRACKING THE WHEEL AND CAUSING BODY DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS NOT SURE IF THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,032.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Dodge Dart vehicles. The shifter cable may detach from the transmission, preventing the vehicle from shifting into the park (P) position and causing a loss of park function.
Abhilfe: Vehicles that were previously repaired under recall 19V293 will need to have the new remedy completed. The remedy is currently under development. Interim notification letters, explaining the safety risk, were mailed November 6, 2025. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 16, 2025.
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Dodge Dart vehicles equipped with 6-speed automatic transmissions. The shifter cable bushing may fail allowing the shift cable to detach from the transmission.
Abhilfe: This recall will be replaced by NHTSA recall number 25V674. Vehicles already repaired under this recall will need to have the new remedy completed. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling various Dodge, Chrysler, and RAM vehicles equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2016 Dodge Dart vehicles manufactured July 25, 2015, to December 16, 2015 and equipped with a 2.0L engine and a manual transmission. Additionally included are certain 2015 Dodge Dart vehicles similarly equipped and brought in for dealer service between September 15, 2015 and January 12, 2016. In the affected vehicles, the powertrain control module that monitors the engine torque output may be missing a backup layer of software.
