The contact's son owned a 2023 Ford Maverick. The contact was filing a complaint on behalf of his deceased son. The contact stated that while his son was driving at an undisclosed speed and making a right-corner turn, the vehicle turned onto the left shoulder, which was covered in dirt and gravel, and skidded 164 feet into a large tree. The vehicle then rotated about 90–100 degrees and caught fire. The contact stated that the fire started in the engine compartment. The police and fire department arrived on the scene, and the fire department extinguished the fire. The contact stated that a state trooper informed him that the crash was caused by excessive speed. My wife and I were involved in an accident where we were stopped and a vehicle rear-ended us at approximately 45mph, centered on the rear of the truck. My wife was in the passenger seat and I was driving. My seat collapsed backwards completely, and my wife's seat collapsed within about 2 inches of the rear seat. When mine collapsed, the headrest came out most of the way, and I slid backwards, hitting the top, back of my head on the rear seat just below the head rest, breaking the skin and leaving a mark of blood visible in the photos.
Daughter is [XXX], driving Maverick to Breakfast, got two blocks away and tried to stop for a traffic light, you can hear on the dash cam when airbags deployed the collision operator came on the line and daughter saying, "I tried to stop but the brakes didn't work", the dash cam has sound and showed she was going 23 mph when accident happened. She T boned a car in the intersection. When the Maverick was taken to collision body shop, the estimator said, this is the second Maverick, the First one "Rear Ended another vehicle". I don't trust this vehicle even if the body is repaired. Files Docs and Photos will not upload. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I Was backing into my designated parking spot in front of our store and a estranged driver cut me off and parked in two parking spots including the designated parking spot in front of the store and a handicapped parking spot next to the designated parking spot causing me to back into another car illegally parked in a third handicap in front of the store. The passenger side view mirror was clipped and the glass cracked on the passenger side door.
Camera freezes when I'm in reverse. Backed up in to a telephone pole last year and had several thousand dollars in damage. Paid the deductible, my rates went up and my cars value went down. Was backing out of parking space yesterday and almost hit a small child when it froze again. Ford needs to fix this issue that they have known about for ahwile.
The CV axles have failed and cause my truck to shaking when accelerating.
I had an accident with sudden loss of power
I was the driver in a 30 MPH collision. The driver's knee airbag deployed but the main passenger and driver airbags did not function.
Battery drained after replacement. Suspected software issues.
Vibration and shrouding under light and heavy acceleration, the harder the acceleration the stronger the vibration, feels like truck is falling apart.
When throttling or under load, significant vibration of the car. Possibly CV axle problem.
infotainment center and modules related to the front-facing display have malfunctions 5x since 9/2024 and have been in the shop 5 times for the same issue, 4 downloads and updates, 3 recalls, and 2 battery and a front-facing module replacement in the last 15 months of issue stsrting
My 2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid experienced repeated 12V battery discharge and “Deep Sleep” events associated with Recall 24C01 and SSM 53801. The vehicle repeatedly discharged the 12V battery while parked under normal conditions. In January 2026, after approximately two weeks parked in freezing temperatures, the battery experienced a complete discharge and the vehicle required multiple jump-starts to remain operational. Ford dealer records later confirmed that the corrective action associated with SSM 53801 had not been applied prior to the failure event despite prior complaints and service visits. The repeated discharge events resulted in failure of both: the original factory battery, and a replacement AGM battery installed at owner expense. This condition created repeated stranded events and loss of vehicle reliability. I am submitting this complaint because the issue appears directly related to documented parasitic drain conditions already acknowledged by Ford in Recall 24C01 and SSM 53801, and because the failure condition persisted before corrective action was finally applied.
