The failure mileage was approximately 27,000.
I was involved in an accident. During the accident none of the airbags deployed. The impact was so hard that it lifted the truck up off the ground and spinned us around 90 degrees. This resulted in the individuals seated on the passenger side of the truck to be thrown into the door fairly hard, with one passenger hitting her head on the window even with the seatbelt on. The point of impact was the drivers side back tire and bumper area.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford Maverick. The contact stated that after she parked the vehicle, her daughter unlatched the rear passenger's seat belt; however, the shoulder strap that she had placed behind her was twisted and inadvertently retracted. The seat belt then seized while tightly wrapped around the contact's daughter's waist, causing her breathing difficulty. The contact had to cut the rear passenger's seat belt with a scissor to release her daughter. The contact's daughter sustained bruising on her stomach and waist; however, medical attention was not received. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 34,115.

The Ford Maverick is subject to rodent invasions which caused an engine fire. We had to file a State Farm Insurance Claim ($4016.36 of repairs done to repair the engine including electrical, emission system, cowl, fuel system, and insulation.) This was completed XXX. We have been faithfully spraying the engine with Rodent Repellent, using Natural Repeller packs, and rat snap traps. We have regularly checked the engine to see if they have come back. Yesterday, XXX, low and behold there was evidence of rat/mice droppings, insulation, food, nesting, etc. We again have spent time and money to clean the engine and use the above-mentioned products to try to protect the engine. After moving the truck, again on XXX, there was new evidence. We treated again. This is causing us stress. This should be a recall and Ford made to remedy. Truck smelled funny, pulled over to check it out. Got out truck and noticed it was on fire from engine.
The main fuel line feeding the fuel pump ruptured without warning, causing gas to spray across the engine compartment. The hot engine caused the gas to start cooking off, resulting in a fire in the engine compartment. The fuel line rupture has been confirmed by my Ford dealership.
When the battery voltage suddenly drops the vehicle loses its power steering making slow speed turns extremely difficult. This poses a serious risk of the inability to control the direction of the vehicle and this makes a crash extremely probable.
When in adaptive cruise control the vehicle must of not seen the lines properly and started to steer towards the ditch. Then when trying to steer back onto the road the truck keep trying to steer into the ditch. The truck was fighting the drivers input even though the truck should deactivate the adaptive cruise control when manually taking over. The truck end up in the ditch and ran over a mailbox. The truck was inspected by Ford but they claimed nothing is wrong with it. It says in the manual that adaptive cruise control sometimes doesn't detect lines properly but when taking control the vehicle shouldn't continue to steer into a ditch. The Ford dealership were not able to get the same results because how can they when this problem doesn't happen all the time? The vehicle should not be fighting the driver instead it should of canceled the adaptive cruise control. It's very dangerous and I think needs to be looked into.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Maverick. The contact stated that while driving at 75 MPH, another vehicle side-swiped the contact's vehicle on the passenger's front side; however, the side curtain air bag failed to deploy. There were no injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an auto repair center. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number - 22V594000 (Air Bags). The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the parts to repair the recall are not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.
I was hit by another car in between the passenger side front door and the passenger side back door. I was hit with enough force to push me off the road. There was no side airbag deployment.
While driving on the streets the powertrain module gave out. It started to jerk around 30 mph and then just would not go.
While driving my 2022 Ford Maverick on a public road, the vehicle suddenly lost acceleration and would not respond normally when I pressed the accelerator. I was left in the roadway and could not safely continue driving, creating a risk of being struck by other traffic. The vehicle was later inspected by a Ford dealership and diagnosed with a major internal transmission failure at approximately 62,000 miles. The Ford dealership recommended a rebuilt/replacement transmission. The vehicle remains available for inspection. I did not have advance warning that the transmission was about to fail.
I had stopped at an intersection and when I applied the gas, the truck stuttered a bit before going. It ran okay for less than a mile. I stopped at the next intersection and when I applied the gas, the truck shuttered, started to go then just stopped. It stayed running but didn't want to go. I was able to get it through the intersection but that was it. The message i am getting is powertrain malfunction/reduced power. When we put our diagnosis tool on it, we get code P0757.

The front lower control arm ball joints may have been incorrectly installed or incorrectly repaired at the vehicle assembly plant, allowing the control arm to disconnect from the front wheel knuckle.

When towing a trailer, the integrated trailer module (ITRM) may lose communication with the vehicle, possibly causing a loss of brake and turn signal lights, or a loss of brake function. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, " Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Lincoln MKC, 2016-2023 Explorer, 2019-2020 Fusion, 2019-2024 Ranger, 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair, Escape, 2021-2024 Bronco, Bronco Sport, and 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles. The engine block heater may crack and develop a coolant leak, causing it to short circuit when the block heater is plugged in.
Remedy: Owners are advised not to plug in their block heater until the vehicle is remedied. Dealers will replace the block heater, free of charge. Owners will also have a alternative option to replace engine block heater element with a threaded blanking plug, and remove the block heater electrical cord.
