ON MAY 12, 2018, WE WERE DRIVING WEST ON MARYLAND INTERSTATE 68 THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS. WE WERE DRIVING DOWNWARD ON ONE OF THE MANY MOUNTAINS AND I NOTICED A WOBBLE COMING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL. I BEGAN TO WORRY AND SLOWED DOWN FROM 70 MPH TO 50 MPH. AS I APPROACHED THE BOTTOM OF THE MOUNTAIN THERE WAS A CURVE TO THE LEFT. ALL OF THE SUDDEN WE LOST CONTROL LIKE WE WERE ON ICE. WE TURNED 360 DEGREES AND SLAMMED INTO THE RIGHT BERM GUARD RAIL AND THEN PROCEEDED TO TRAVEL BACK ACROSS THE TWO LAND HIGHWAY AND HIT THE LEFT MEDIAN GUARDRAIL AND CAME TO A STOP. THERE WERE THREE OF US IN THE CAR AND FORTUNATELY ONLY MINOR INJURIES. WE OBSERVED THAT THE AXLE AT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL HAD SHEERED OFF. I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! ALSO. THE SIDE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHEN THE PASSENGER SIDE SLAMMED INTO THE GUARD RAIL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CADILLAC SRX. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED THE VEHICLE INTO A CEMENT POST AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT AND THE FRONT PASSENGER BOTH SUSTAINED CHEST INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,999.
Rear trunk/hatch lid: I had pressed the switch on the hatch lid to cause closing. At this point my wife walked too close to the closing hatch and it hit her, and continued to close, causing a gash on her forehead. I am of the belief that any contact made by the hatch and a foreign object will cause the hatch to reverse its closing action.
I WAS IN A SEVERE CRASH AND SUFFERED A SEVERE CONCUSSION. MY RIBBON FLEW OFF MY HEAD WHEN I CAME TO, I DID LOSE CONSCIOUSNESS AND WOKE UP TO ON STAR TELLING ME MY VEHICLE WAS IN A CRASH. I HAVE SEVERE PAIN IN MY NECK SHOULDER, ABRASIONS TO THE LEFT SIDE OF MY BODY AND BRUISING. THE VEHICLE IS TOTALED BUT THE AIRBAG NEVER DEPLOYED AND IT SHOULD HAVE WITHOUT A DOUBT. THERE WAS SEVERE DAMAGE TO THE ENTIRE VEHICLE.
WHILE MAKING A 3 HOUR NON STOP DRIVE WITH THE DRIVER SEAT HEATER ON HIGH I RECEIVED SEVERE BURNS ON MY RIGHT THIGH. IT BLISTERED IN 2 OF THE 4 PLACES THAT THE SKIN WAS BURNED. *TR
I started my car using the remote start. When I opened my car the driver side seat was smoking and a hole had been burned in the back. The inside of the hole was red and appeared to be light up like a hot coil. I turned my car off and tapped/blew on the area to put out the little fire.

The Defect and Safety Hazard The headlights on my 2014 Cadillac SRX have become severely and progressively dim, constituting a major safety hazard for night driving. * Hazard: The lack of adequate light output dramatically reduces visibility, compromises the driver's ability to see obstacles, and increases the risk of a severe accident during operation at night, dusk, or in poor weather. This is a critical failure of a core safety component. * Cause: The root cause is a well-documented design flaw in the headlight assembly (affecting 2010-2016 models) that allows moisture to enter the sealed unit. This moisture degrades the internal reflective coating, permanently destroying the light's effective output. 2. Failure to Act Despite Known Issues General Motors (GM) and the appropriate safety regulators have been aware of this critical defect for years, yet no mandatory safety recall has been issued: * NHTSA Complaint History: According to public records, complaints regarding this exact issue have been "pouring in" for the last five years or more. The high volume of complaints clearly demonstrates a systemic, widespread, and dangerous failure across this vehicle platform. * Class Action Lawsuits: This defect has been the subject of class action litigation against General Motors, further establishing that the company is fully aware of the design flaw and the resulting safety hazard. 3. The Unacceptable Repair Burden I am being forced to bear the cost of replacing the defective assembly with a new part that utilizes the same fundamentally flawed design. the headlights on this vehicle are so dim that i ran over a large deer carcass in the middle of the highway at night. by the time i saw the carcass in the middle of the road, i was already on top of it!!!!!!!!!!! i couldn't use my brights because i was meeting another vehicle. anyway, the headlights on this vehicle are pure garbage and there needs to be a recall on these lights. this is a major safety hazard for myself and other drivers on the highway. i have no time to use my brakes before an accident will occur with debri or an animal crosing the road. very disappointed that this is not recalled yet!!! do something about this now!!!!!
The Headlights for my car - Cadillac 2014 SRX At night the headlights are not bright enough to see and driving is dangerous. The car is available for inspection upon request. I was driving at night making a turn and I hit a small sign post on a back road because I could not see it! I put others at risk driving with my high beams on blinding the oncoming cars. If people are walking on the road I can not see them and therefore put them at risk. Additionally I put myself and my family at risk. I am a first responder working in a Doctor's office after dark and have to drive home on back roads that are very dark and not lit with street lights. The dealer at Ingersoll Auto of Danbury CT confirmed the headlights do not work properly and are not bright enough to see at night. They said they are defective. When I purchased the car and could not see at night driving I contacted my dealership. They said the problem has been a recall in Florida. I contacted Cadillac who said they sent me a letter and I should have them fixed.

CAR VEERED TO THE RIGHT INTO THE GUARDRAIL THEN LOSS OF CONTROL OF STEERING, CAR SPUN AROUND TWICE AND LANDED IN OPPOSITE GUARDRAIL FACING TRAFFIC WITH LEFT REAR TIRE FACING AWAY FROM THE CAR. WE WERE DRIVING AT THE TIME ON A HIGHWAY.
HEAD LIGHTS ARE EXTREMELY DIM FORCING OWNER TO USE HIGH BEAMS ON A SEMI REGULAR BASIS

I AM GOING TO MENTION THE PROBLEM WITH THE DEFECTIVE QUE SYSTEM THAT THEY ARE CLEARLY TRYING TO DENY BUT DID PAY 90% OF MY $1000 REPAIR WITHOUT TAKING BLAME AND OF COURSE THIS IS NOT A REAL SAFETY CONCERN BUT WORTH DESCRIBING BECAUSE IT SHOWS A CLEAR PATTERN OF SUPPRESSION AND AVOIDANCE TO RECALL A CLEARLY DEFECTIVE PART OF A VEHICLE . MOISTURE GETS IN LIGHTS CAUSING LIGHT TO NOT WORK PROPERLY. LIGHT DIMNESS CAUSING LOW VISIBILITY AND CAUSE ME TO WRECK MY CAR.

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2010-2016 Cadillac SRX and 2011-2012 Saab 9-4X vehicles. The rear suspension toe link adjuster may not have been tightened properly, which could result in a loose toe link.
Rimedio: Owners are advised to not drive their vehicle if they experience certain Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) warnings or other issues, such as unusual steering behavior, while driving. Please see the Part 573 report for the full list of warnings. Dealers will replace the adjustable toe link with a non-adjustable one, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed August 6, 2021. Owner notification letters were mailed on October 25, 2021. Cadillac and Saab customers may direct questions to Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223. GM's number for this recall is N212340980.
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2010-2015 Cadillac SRX vehicles manufactured April 14, 2009, to September 1, 2014, and 2011-2012 Saab 9-4X vehicles manufactured February 1, 2011, to September 13, 2011. On the affected vehicles, the jam nut in the rear suspension toe adjuster link may not be torqued to the proper specification. A loose toe adjuster link can cause the vehicle to sway or wander at highway speeds. A loose toe adjuster link may lead to thread damage and eventual failure. Failure of the toe adjuster link will cause an abrupt change in the vehicle's alignment.
Rimedio: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the torque of the left and right rear toe link adjuster lock nuts, and replace the parts if there is evidence of damage or a loose link, free of charge. The The recall began November 11, 2014. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006 or Saab customer service at 1-800-955-9007. GM's number for this recall is 14457.
