TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 JEEP RENEGADE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH ANOTHER VEHICLE TURNED IN FRONT OF HIS VEHICLE AND CAUSED THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM THE CRASH SITE. THE CONTACT AND HIS PASSENGER BOTH HAD TO BE TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL WITH SEVERE BRUISES CAUSED BY THE SEATBELTS. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE ENTIRE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED AND THE ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIRS FROM THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC'S WAS AROUND $9,500. THE VEHICLE WAS UNREPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED YET. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,900. *BF*JB
THE ACCIDENT HAPPENS WITHIN 7 DAYS OF PURCHASING THE CAR , DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT AT 15MILE/ HOUR , WHEN I HIT THE BREAKS TO STOP THIS TRIGGERED THE ACCELERATOR , AND THE CAR SPEED AND WENT OUT OF CONTROL , THE MORE I TRIED TO BREAK THE MACHINE THE MORE SPEED IT TOOK , CRASHING HEAD /ON AGAINST A TREE . WITH SUCH A FORCE THAT THE CAR NOW IS TOTALED . THIS MODEL WAS RECALLED IN BRASIL DUE TO THE SAME MECHANICAL PROBLEM . I COULD HAVE DIED OR KILLED PEOPLE IF I WAS GOING ON A HIGHWAY OR DRIVING TO A NORMAL SPEED . THIS VIEJO LE IS A DEAD TRAP AND IT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED . IS MIGH DUTY TO PREVENT POSIBLE DEADS AND HUMAN MISERY OF INOCENT PEOPLE . THE MOST IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF A VEHICLE : BREAKS DID NOT WORK. INSTEAD TRIGGERED THE ACCELERATION IF THE VEHICLE . The driver side seat belt failed immediately after first impact to concrete barrier on front driver side the vehicle was then forced back across the highway where it hit the concrete barrier on the right side of the vehicle and was then forced back across the highway where the vehicle came to a stop but only after the vehicle hit the first concrete barrier for a second time there was only one wheel/tire left on the jeep the other 3 were broke completely off of the jeep as well as both axles being broke and finally this vehicle comes with a total of seven airbags and after all this not even one of them deployed and as a result my wife was seriously injured there was a police report which reflects my wife was declared not at fault.The vehicle was then towed to crash champions in Nampa Idaho where they figured that there was over $18,000 in damages our insurance company declared it a total loss so when it came time to pay the claim our insurance company was valuing the vehicle way less than it was actually worth and then they said we did not have medical on the policy then they called up Chrysler finance and tried to get them to accept a payout without my knowledge well that didn't work for them then they told Chrysler that I wanted to retain the vehicle which was a lie all I wanted was for someone to come by and inspect the vehicle then they could've done whatever they wanted to with it I've called the numbers in my owners manual opened up a complaint followed up with them for over a year and they never got back to me also I've been back to the dealership 5 times now and finally met the new manager and informed him of the situation and it's very hurtful inside to know that you've been ignored well here we are a little over 18 months now since the crash and the jeep is still sitting in my driveway what else can I say,oh yeah I'M PISSED

THE CONTACT STATED SHE TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE LEFT TO PREVENT CRASHING INTO METAL OBJECT BUT DRIVE INTO A FIELD AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE AIR BAGS DID DEPLOY. THE CONTACT DID NOT SUSTAIN MAJOR INJURIES BUT STATED SHE WAS BRUISED AND UNABLE TO WALK DUE TO THE IMPACT FROM THE CRASH. THE CONTACT STATED SHE WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL BY AN AMBULANCE FOR MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER DEEMED THE VEHICLE A TOTAL LOSS. THE CONTACT CALLED LOCAL DEALER BAYSIDE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF ANNAPOLIS (1797 WEST ST, ANNAPOLIS, MD 21401, (410) 263-2341). THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 200. The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH and approaching a stop light, the vehicle lost motive power without warning. The contact stated that the seat belt tightened causing a bruise. The contact was able to pull over. The contact attempted several times to jump-start the vehicle however, the vehicle would not start. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The dealer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was not under warranty and that the contact had to pay out-of-pocket for the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was out of warranty. The failure mileage was 48,577.
Infotainment system is highly defective even after replacement. The screen goes black, shows white lines and you're left unable to use your backup camera! After doing research this problem stems all the way back to 2016 renegades with the same system.
The contact owned a 2020 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while the vehicle was stopped on the expressway for roadway construction, another vehicle rear-ended the rear driver's side. The contact's head and face struck the steering wheel, causing a nosebleed. The vehicle spun and collided with two to three other occupied vehicles; however, the contact did not know if anyone was injured. The air bags did not deploy, and the seat belts failed to restrain the contact and her two minor children, seated in the rear passenger's and driver's side seats. The contact's child, who was sitting in the rear passenger's seat, was thrown into the trunk upon impact. The doors failed to unlock until the fire department arrived. The firefighters opened the door to evacuate the contact and her children. The contact and her children were transported to the hospital by ambulance, where police informed her that the vehicle that rear-ended her was driving at 90-95 MPH. The contact was unaware that police and fire department reports had been filed. The contact had body aches, and bruises on her stomach, legs, and back, and her left pinky was fractured. One of the contact's sons suffered from back and leg pain, while the other had headaches. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and deemed totaled by the insurance company. The contact later received an email from the dealer stating that the vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V510000 (Air Bags, Seat Belts). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was unavailable.
I was parking in my usual spot, slowly into the parking spot with my foot on the brake 5 mph, suddenly the Jeep accelerated and smashed into the wall of the building at full force. The Jeep bounced back so hard it jerked my head. The Jeep was leaking fluid, and the frame bent with body damaged. It had to be towed to the body shop. I am 100% sure that my foot was NOT on the accelerator. This could have been a fatality if I was on the road with other cars. Please investigate, I feel unsafe.

A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE 0 INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TOWED AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH, HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM THE CONTACT'S HOME TO THE DEALER (JOEY ACCARDI CHRYSLER, DODGE, JEEP, RAM 909 S FEDERAL HWY, POMPANO BEACH, FL 33062; (954) 943-6700) WHO STATED THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,300.
Dashboard screen is out. I am unable to use the back up camera feature nor any Dashboard feature.
My 2020 Jeep Renegade has been burning a quart of oil every 1,000 miles or so. Im sure many people do not check it as consistently as i do. Burning oil im sure is hard on the spark plugs, catalitic converters, and the emissions.
Vehicle has an oil leak due to a faulty vacuum pump and gasket which is causing the vehicle to leak an excessive amount throughout the engine and other components. It was seen by a repair shop and they pinpointed the leak. This could cause an engine to stall while driving if not fixed soon which could potentially involve being in a accident to cause injury and or even death. The leak first appeared in August 2025 and can not be driven until fixed. This issue is also happening to my husbands vehicle which is the same as mine.

An impact on the brake pedals can cause the pedal arm and the brake pedal lever to disengage. Moreover, the unlocking lever has a low stiffness due to variations in clamping force and friction. Both these reasons can lead the brake pedals to collapse during braking, preventing the driver from activating the service brakes. This could impair the braking performance, increasing the risk of an accident. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
The electrical cable connection to the vehicle's Integrated Dual Charge Module (IDCM) may not be tightened to the correct torque. This can result in the 12-volt battery not being charged, which can cause the vehicle to shut down unexpectedly, thereby increasing the risk of an accident and injuries. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia, 2018-2025 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, 2019-2023 Fiat 500X, Jeep Renegade, and 2024 Fiat 500E vehicles. A seat belt buckle switch sensor may be improperly connected, preventing the front seat air bag from deploying as intended.
Solución: Dealers will repair the connection, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning August 27, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 82B.
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2020 Jeep Gladiator and Jeep Cherokee, 2019-2020 Ram 1500 Pickup, Ram 2500 Pickup, Ram 3500 Pickup, Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler, and Jeep Renegade and 2019 Dodge Challenger vehicles equipped with 8.4" or 12" radio displays. A software error can cause the rearview camera image to remain displayed after the vehicle has been shifted out of reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rearview Mirrors."
Solución: Chrysler has notified owners, and dealers will update the radio display software, free of charge. Optionally, owners can choose to remotely update their software via an Over-The-Air (OTA) update available as of May 1, 2020. The recall began April 27, 2020. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2020 Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X vehicles. The right rear brake caliper could have been fractured during the casting process.
Solución: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the right rear brake calipers, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began February 7, 2020. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is VE8.
