BECAUSE THE DESIGN ROLLS IN AND DOWN LIKE A BACKWARDS C THE PLASTIC METAL HAS FRAYED FROM USE AND DOESN'T LAY FLAT OR SEALED TO THE CUP HOLDERS. EACH TIME THE CUP HOLDERS ARE USE THE CUPS GET CAUGHT ON THE CUP HOLDERS AND ALSO CUT THE CUPS. I HOPE A COFFEE CUP DOESN'T BREAK ON ME OR A PASSENGER IN THIS SITUATION AND BURN THEM. MY OPTIONS ARE TO PEEL THE BAD TRIM AWAY AND HAVE IT LOOK WORSE OR PAY A LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO REPLACE THE WHOLE MIDDLE CONSOLE UNIT, NOT PRACTICAL FOR THE CONSUMER. THIS IS ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE USER AND NOT THE VISUAL APPEARANCE.
traveling on S Sterling Street in Morganton, NC on the morning of July 12, 2023. We were going speed limit20 mph on a one way street, then car made rumbling sound and accelerated on its own at approximately 60-70 mph. I put on brakes,but car did not slow down...weaved thru traffic to avoid hitting anyone..could not get car to slow down and unfortunately hit a car in front of us. All persons were taken to hospital..myself, my wife and person in the other car that was impacted. All persons suffered broken bones. Both cars were totaled. Since accident have read up on this type vehicle accelerating on its own. We were lucky no one was killed. This needs to be looked into before it takes a life.

THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE THEN FLIPPED OVER AND A CHILD PASSENGER WAS PARTIALLY EJECTED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CHILD'S UPPER BODY THEN BECAME PLUNGED UNDERWATER IN THE EMBANKMENT. THE CHILD SUSTAINED BRUISES TO THE HEAD AND LUNG FAILURE FROM ALMOST DROWNING. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BACK INJURIES AND A FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED NECK INJURIES. ALL OF THE VEHCLE OCCUPANTS REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE FAILURE AND THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW LOT AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
TAKATA, ON APRIL 15, 2016 I HAD A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH A 2004 FORD PICK UP TRUCK ON STATE HIGHWAY 28 IN SENECA SC THE JEEP WAS TOTALLY DESTROYED AND I SUFFERED MULTIPLE SERIOUS BODILY INJURIES. THE DASH WAS BUCKLED, THE WINDSHIELD BLACKENED, THE GAUGES MELTED, THE ROOF LINING GONE, THE VISORS MELTED, AND THE INSIDE COVERED WITH CO2 AND SMOKE DAMAGE. Drivers airbag did not deploy in car accident that included substantial front and back end damage to vehicle. This vehicle was purchased used, and from a used car dealership just months prior to accident. Buyer had vehicle further inspected by a neutral third party to ensure safety. The side impact airbags deployed on impact. Head injuries were sustained when drivers head hit the sun visor then the windshield. There are pictures of the vehicle after the accident. The vehicle is currently in possession of the insurance company in another state. There was no indication that the airbag was defective prior to the accident.
The anti collision avoidance systems did not engage. Instead it seemed the vehicle sped up. It did not engage to stop a collision, I was at almost a stop. Vehicle seemed to speed up. Anti-collision systems did not engage at all. This system worked previously. It did not brake automatically nor avoid a collision. It caused an accident & there were minor injuries & totaling 2 vehicles mine (2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland) & the other party to accidents truck.
I have Grand Cherokee SRT 2014 I am from Saudi Arabia. I was driving my vehicle in the right lane at a speed of 40 miles. There was a vehicle in the second lane that swerved onto my vehicle and forced me to crash into a light pole. The airbags did not deploy as the vehicle stopped due to the impact and not the brakes. I was hit while driving, and because I was wearing the seat belt, my rib cage muscles and other injuries were torn. Please investigate and help me. I have never got any fault in regard air bags even after the access ther is no fault light .

The crankshaft position sensor tone wheel may delaminate, causing the engine to lose its ability to synchronize the fuel injector pulses and cam shaft timing, possibly resulting in an engine stall.
Solución: Dealers will update the powertrain control module software to maintain vehicle propulsion, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed August 3, 2023. Some owner notification letters were mailed October 31, 2023. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles equipped with the 3.0L EcoDiesel engines. The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler may crack and allow pre-heated vaporized coolant to enter the EGR system. This mixture may combust inside the intake manifold.
Solución: FCA US LLC will notify owners, and dealers will replace the EGR cooler, free of charge. Dealers will also inspect and, as necessary, replace the intake manifold. Parts are not currently available. Owners were mailed an interim notification on December 21, 2021. These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.

(ATI) is recalling certain ProCharger Superchargers, model numbers AB037A-100, AB037A-100P, and A037A-100B, sold for installation on 2012-2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and SRT vehicles. The supercharger mounting bracket may contact and damage the ABS line, possibly resulting in a brake fluid leak.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 vehicles manufactured February 15, 2011, to November 27, 2014, and 2014-2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured July 16, 2012, to December 22, 2015. The affected vehicles, equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a monostable gear selector, may not adequately warn the driver when driver's door is opened and the vehicle is not in PARK, allowing them to exit the vehicle while the vehicle is still in gear.

Due to a fault within the Occupant Restraint Control (OCR) module, the frontal air bags, seat belt pretensioners, and side air bags may be disabled. In the affected vehicles, the wiring for the vanity lamp in the sun visor may short circuit, after a service repair is performed.

When the adaptive cruise control is engaged and the driver presses the accelerator pedal to increase the vehicle's speed more than the cruise control system would on its own, the vehicle may continue to accelerate briefly after the accelerator pedal is released.

Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2011-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango vehicles manufactured from January 5, 2010, through September 8, 2013. The subject vehicles have a brake booster with a center shell that may corrode and allow water to get inside.
Solución: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will add a water diverter shield to the booster after the booster has been tested to confirm it can hold an acceptable amount of vacuum pressure. If the booster inspection confirms an unacceptable loss of vacuum pressure, the booster will be replaced. Repairs will be made free of charge. The recall began on May 30, 2014. Chrysler Group, LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured January 8, 2013, through August 20, 2013. Due to a disruption of computer communications and loose alternator ground wires, the affected vehicles may experience random illumination of multiple instrument cluster warning lights, loss of cluster illumination and loss of anti-lock brake system (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC) function. Because of these conditions, the vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 101, "Controls and Displays," and No. 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems."

Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2014, non-SRT trimmed, Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured January 14, 2013, through March 20, 2013 equipped with premium headlamps. In the affected vehicles, when switching between daytime running lights and parking lights, electrical spikes may cause the parking lamps to turn off. Without properly functioning parking lamps these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108, "Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."
