7 year old in 2nd row passanger side seatbelt would not release and would only get tighter and tighter. Seatbelt got tighter and tighter around his belly causing pain and crushing his stomach. I had to cut the seatbelt to get him out. Tried pressing every button and opening and closing car door, locking and unlocking and restarting car, but nothing worked. The more we tried to pull on the seatbelt, the tighter it got. The seatbelt would not release or give any slack to get him out. I am taking car into the dealership for a dianostic this coming Friday.

DOOR ALMOST KILLED MY DAUGHTER. WE WERE GETTING KIDS BUCKLED IN AND MY 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER FELL DOWN. I WENT TO THE OTHER SIDE TO HELP HER. WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR I SAW SHE WAS STUCK BETWEEN THE DOOR AND THE SEAT AND THE DOOR WAS MOVING BACK ON HER. HER HEAD WAS JAMMED BETWEEN THE SLIDING DOOR CUP HOLDER AND THE SIDE OF THE VAN. I AM 220LBS AND WITH ALL MY MIGHT WAS HOLDING THE DOOR FROM OPENING ALL THE WAY AND I THINK CRUSHING HER HEAD (AS THE DOOR GOING BACK WITH THE CUP HOLDER ON THE FLOOR- WAS PINNING HER HEAD BETWEEN THE DOOR AND THE VAN). THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED. THE DOOR IS VERY GOOD WITH ANY OBSTRUCTION WHILE THE DOOR IS CLOSING IS SENSED BY THE DOOR AND IT IMMEDIATELY STOPS. YOU NEED A SIMILAR SENSOR SO THAT IF A HEAD, OR ARM OR LEG IS CAUGHT IN THE DOOR WHILE IT IS SLIDING BACK TO OPEN, IT WOULD STOP IMMEDIATELY. THE DOOR CLOSE BUTTON WOULD HAVE WORKED OR PULLING THE HANDLE OUT (WHICH I DID NOT KNOW AT THE TIME) BUT I DID NOT THINK OF IT AS I WAS IN A PANIC TRYING TO STOP THE DOOR FROM CRUSHING MY DAUGHTERS HEAD. IT SHOULD HAVE AUTOMATICALLY STOPPED IN CASE AN ADULT WAS NOT THERE PLEASE FIX THIS THIS REALLY COULD HAVE KILLED MY DAUGHTER INSTEAD HER EAR IS VERY HURT BUT SHOULD BE OK. THANKS SO MUCH- TIM

THE AUTOMATIC SIDE DOOR ACCIDENTALLY CLOSED AND SQUEEZED ON A 7-YEAR-OLD CHILD'S FINGERS, AND COULD NOT BE OPENNED BY ANY METHOD. WE (AS PARENTS) TRIED ALL DOOR OPEN/CLOSE SWITCHES, DOOR REMOTE CONTROLS, AS WELL AS THE DOOR'S MANUAL HANDLE IN ORDER TO OPEN THE DOOR TO RELEASE THE CHILD'S HAND, BUT ALL EFFORT FAILED TO OPEN THE DOOR TO RELEASE THE CHILD'S FINGERS. THERE IS NO SAFETY MANUAL OVERRIDE (IN THE DOOR DESIGN) AT ALL THAT CAN DISENGAGE/DISCONNECT THE AUTOMATIC OPEN/CLOSE MECHANISM WHEN THE AUTOMATIC MECHANISM FAILS. THE CHILD FELT GREAT PAIN AND CRIED IN THE MEANWHILE. EVENTUALLY, AFTER 15 MINUTES, THE CHILD'S FINGERS SLIPPED OUT THE SQUEEZE. THE DOOR THEN FULLY CLOSED AND COULD THEN BE OPENED AGAIN BY AUTOMATICAL SWITCHES. THIS LACK OF MANUAL OVERRIDE OF THE DOOR'S AUTOMATIC OPEN/CLOSE CREATES HUGE DANGER FOR ANY CHILD. CAN THIS PRODUCT BE RECALLED TO FIX THE SAFETY HAZZARD BEFORE IT CAUSE FURTHER INJURY TO OTHER CHILDREN?

IT WAS LITTLE COLD NIGHT. I DROVE ON FREEWAY FOR 40MINUTES WITH KIDS WITHOUT CENTRAL HEATING. WHEN WE GOT HOME, I WAKE THEM UP.I FOUND MY YOUNG DAUGHTER AT BACK SEAT, SHE COULDN'T WAKE UP UNUSUALLY. SHE WAS SLEEPING, LEANING TOWARD RT. SIDE CUP HOLDER SIDE AT BACK SEAT. I SAW HER FACE WAS SO RED LIKE FIRST DEGREE BURN AND HER HAIR WAS ALL WET AND HER BODY WAS SO SWEATING. IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE THAT THE WHOLE SURFACE NEXT TO RT. BACK SEAT WAS EXTREMELY HOT!!! EVEN THOUGH THE VAN ENGINE WAS STOPPED. I IMMEDIATELY TRIED TO HER COOL DOWN. MY KIDS TOLD ME. "EVER SINCE WE BOUGHT THIS VAN, WHEN THE VAN'S ENGINE WAS TURNING ON, BACK SEAT RT. SIDE BODY WAS ALWAYS HOT." NEXT MORNING, I TOOK THE VAN TO HONDA SERVICE. BUT IT COULD NOT FIXED FOR 3DAYS AND NO ONE CALLED ME FOR UPDATING INFO. THE VAN IS STILL IN THE SERVICE. ONE OF TECHNICIAN TOLD ME FROM THE SERVICE, IT HAS BEEN PROBLEMS FOR 4YEARS. I CALLED HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT NO ANSWER. I AM TRYING TO ASK THEM BUY BACK PROGRAM. IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS FOR FAMILY WITH YOUNG CHILDREN. THIS IS NOT FIRST TIME PROBLEM FOR THIS NEW VAN. I ALREADY HAD SEVERAL PROBLEMS. 1. IT WAS NOT STARTING ENGINE SEVERAL TIMES ON THE 1ST WEEK OF PURCHASE. 2. BRAKE WAS COMPLETELY NOT MOVING MORE THAN ONE HOUR AND NOT STARTING ENGINE TOGETHER ON THE 2ND WEEK OF PURCHASE IN THE PARKING LOT. 3. CLICKING AND CLUCKING NOISE AT REAR OF LT. SIDE WITH RT. TURNING WITH BRAKE ALL THE TIMES. 4. THE VAN'S HORN BY ITSELF MAKING NOISE FOR 20MINUTES ON FREEWAY DRIVING. THE HONDA SERVICE COULDN'T FIND THE CAUSES. THEY JUST REMOVED VAN'S SECURITY ALARM. HONDA SERVICE DIDN'T ALLOW ME FOR A RENTAL VAN. I AM EXPECTING HONDA'S IMMEDIATE AND APPROPRIATE CUSTOMER CARE FOR BUY BACK PROGRAM. UNTIL NOW, THIS BRAND NEW VAN WENT TO 9TIMES SERVICES FOR 3MONTHS WITHOUT FIXING, 11DAYS IN THE SERVICE, OUR FAMILY ARE VERY HAVING HARD TIME FOR NORMAL LIVING LIFE WITH KIDS. *TR

WHILE GETTING OUT OF THE MINIVAN THERE WAS AN ODOR AND A TINY BIT OF SMOKE FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. AFTER WAITING A COUPLE MINUTES THE SMOKE SEEMED TO GO AWAY. WE LEFT THE MINIVAN PARKED AND ABOUT 10-20 MINUTES LATER IT STARTED ON FIRE AND WE RECEIVED A CALL FROM OUR NEIGHBORS THAT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD BEEN CALLED AND THEY WERE PUTTING OUT THE FIRE. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) control module contains incorrect deployment parameters for the side and head airbags, which could cause them to deploy inadvertently when the vehicle experiences road impacts. This increases the risk of accidents and injuries. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.

Due to a faulty circuit board in the passenger seat weight sensor, the passenger seat’s occupant detection system may identify a Steering Wheel Sensor (SWS) error and the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) warning light could switch on. This can cause a faulty triggering of the airbags, creating a risk of injuries for a child occupying the passenger seat. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
