Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Palisade vehicles. The side curtain air bags for third-row occupants may deploy improperly in a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 226, "Ejection Mitigation."
Remedy: Dealers will install a protective film over the rear window and remove padding, as necessary free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed beginning March 13, 2026. Final remedy owner letters will be mailed in phases, beginning in June 2026 and expected to continue through December 2026. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Palisade vehicles. The seat belt buckles in the driver, passenger, and second-row window seats may fail to latch.
Remedy: Passengers are advised to insert the belt firmly into the buckle with a quick and direct motion, pulling on the belt to confirm the seat belt is fully secured, until the recall remedy is performed. Dealers will replace the seat belt buckle assemblies, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed beginning October 23, 2025. Sunroof shattered. We were traveling on I70 in eastern Colorado. The temperature outside was just below freezing and the temperature inside was set to between 72 and 78. We heard a loud bang and we were showered with broken glass. My wife, two sons and I received minor cuts. My wife possibly got some glass in her eye but seems to have gotten it out with no ill effect. While I was very startled I didn’t swerve. If I had, we would likely have lost control of the vehicle. We were traveling at freeway speeds and I think we would have been seriously injured or killed if this had occurred.

Diehl Hyundai of Sharon was the last dealer to proved service and closed the recall on this vehicle. Vehicle model is known for this type of fire. Dealer did not make us aware of this recall before purchase. Vehicle was purchased specifically for towing ability.
On 7/22/26 at about 5:15pm, I was operating my vehicle, a 2022 Hyundai Palisade in the Parking lot of Publix Supermarket at Valrico Commons and was attempting to enter a parking space. I made a right from the parking thruway to enter a right parking space. I felt one of the right wheels graze the pedestrian sidewalk as I was driving about 5 miles per hour, next thing the vehicle lunged forward out of control and though I tried applying the brakes, the brakes would not respond. As a result, my vehicle ending up hitting a parking pole, which resulted in two vehicles parked opposite to me being hit by the pole. There was no one in the parked vehicles.

ON [XXX] I was driving on [XXX] and my car speed 30-35 MPH . I saw the traffic signal light turning Amber to RED and I tried hard break to stop my car but it could not stop and crashed with the truck . We bought a Hyundai palisade from them. And as a military family we travel and are placed at different duty stations. When we bought the Hyundai palisade, we also got the bill Navarre warranty, it was our fault for not reading every line about the warranty. The Hyundai palisade is a 2022, sadly the brakes started acting like they were not working. We called them and were told that if we use the warranty anywhere other than at that location, we will lose the warranty and since we had been stationed elsewhere since buying the vehicle, we were stuck on what to do. We had to drive the vehicle risking our lives daily, pump the brakes 5-6 times for it to stop. until we could take it back to that location. We took the vehicle in and just as we thought the brakes were bad due to the master cylinder going out. We were given a small rental that the whole family couldn't fit in, we could have gotten a bigger vehicle if we paid the difference. While we waited on them to get the part in. While waiting we were notified that they crashed the vehicle, we are glad they told us, but the damage is done, and the vehicle will lose some of its value. They gave us a small SUV again so small our whole family can't fit in it. We are so upset with Hyundai and Bill Navarre. We have to sit now and reach out to consumer affairs, Hyundai and the BBB as well as the military because none of this is right. It's not right that people buy a vehicle and when something goes wrong due to the auto makers neglect that we have to suffer for it. Just read everything and be aware because Hyundai and the car dealerships don't care about your safety. Social media will be given notice. We took the car in to them on 11/20/2023 and we are not sure what day they wreck the vehicle, but we found out on 11/27/2023. Who is going to give us the difference of what our vehicle is worth and how do we feel safe getting back into an almost new car that the brakes went out in?
This vehicle is equipped with a forward collision alert system, which did not activate and warn me. As a result a traffic accident occurred where I rear-ended a vehicle in front of me. Vehicle sustained 8000 dollars in damages and is currently being repaired. There were no visible notifications, no alarms of any kind prior to impact. Component was not inspected by the manufacturer. In this scenario, a vehicle in front was stopped at a stop sign, started proceeding forward, I followed, but did not notice them stop again, resulting in a rear-end collision. I was traveling under 25mph (which should be sufficient for the system to work), however as stated before, no alerts were activated.

I was driving the 2022 Palisade at 65 miles an hour on busy interstate when it suddenly shifted down to 5 miles per hour. I was almost back ended and sideswiped as I tried to get from middle lane to side of interstate. I had 3 grandchildren in car at the time. I had this vehicle in for repair at Hyundai dealership twice before this incident and was told just bad gas and keep driving it. Another incident before was at 4 way stop in GA where I started after stop and car completely stopped and a gentleman also broadsided me. Again told bad gas. After taking car in for repair again, I was told total transmission failure at 108000 miles.

The vehicle has experienced a recurring engine/powertrain malfunction involving engine stalling, hesitation/rough operation, startup rattling, cylinder air/fuel imbalance, and misfires. The exact failed component is currently UNKNOWN. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle has stalled at low speeds, creating a safety concern because the engine can unexpectedly shut off or lose power while the vehicle is being operated in traffic. Of particular concern, P219D, indicating a Cylinder 2 air/fuel ratio imbalance, has occurred repeatedly, and the vehicle subsequently generated P0302, indicating a Cylinder 2 misfire. This suggests a recurring problem involving the same cylinder, although the underlying cause remains UNKNOWN.Previous repair efforts have included work involving the vehicle's VVT system, but the engine-related problems and diagnostic codes have continued/recurred. The vehicle/component has been inspected by a Hyundai dealership. To my knowledge, it has not been separately inspected by police, insurance representatives, or NHTSA. Whether Hyundai corporate/manufacturer representatives have directly inspected the vehicle is UNKNOWN.Prior to and during these incidents, symptoms included the check-engine warning light, startup rattling/noise, engine hesitation/rough operation, and stalling at low speeds. Diagnostic codes were stored when the check-engine light appeared. The problems have occurred on more than 100 occasion rather than being a single isolated incident.

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Palisade vehicles. The windshield wiper motor may operate intermittently or fail to operate due to snow or ice buildup on the windshield, causing the wipers to fail.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the driver-side windshield wiper arm, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 15, 2023. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 243. This recall is an expansion of recall number 22V-627.
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling 2020-2022 Palisade vehicles potentially equipped with a tow hitch harness installed as original equipment, or purchased as an accessory through a Hyundai dealership. Debris and moisture accumulation on the tow hitch harness module printed circuit board (PCB) may cause an electrical short, which can result in a fire.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will install a new fuse and wire extension kit, as necessary, free of charge.
