WE WERE DRIVING NORTH ON I-75 AND EXITED AT HIGHWAY M-24. AS WE TURNED RT., THE LEFT FRONT TIRE LOST AIR PRESSURE (LT. FRONT CAR TIRE WAS RECENTLY CHANGED AND NOT SURE PROPER SEALANT WAS USED WHEN INSTALLING NEW TIRE) AND THE CAR SUDDENLY SHOT TO THE LEFT AND WE WENT OVER AN EMBANKMENT INTO A DITCH FOR APPROX. 20 FEET THEN SHOT UP AND OVER AN EXPRESSWAY ENTRANCE RAMP INTO A STEEL BARRIER. THE SEAT BELTS WERE ON BOTH OF US AND THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. WE BOTH SUFFERED SEVERE BLUNT FORCE BODY TRAUMA AND HAD TO BE TAKEN BY EMS TO THE LOCAL HOSPITAL. RECOVERY HAS BEEN SLOW AS WHIP LASH AND BACK INJURIES JUST DON'T SEEM TO WANT TO HEAL. ON ANOTHER NOTE, MY RIGHT EAR WAS DAMAGED BY THE EXPLOSION FROM THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT AND NOW I HAVE HIGH SHRILL RINGING 24/7 AND CAN'T SLEEP. I HAVE BEEN TO HEARING SPECIALISTS AND THEY SAY IT IS TENITIUS (SPELLING) BUT THERE DOES NOT SEEM TO BE ANY SOLUTION. DOES ANYONE IN GOVERNMENT HAVE ANY SOLUTIONS? THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY. *TR
WHEN APPLYING THE BREAKS ON THE HIGHWAY AND THEN HIT BY ANOTHER CAR FROM BEHIND (LIGHT TO MEDIUM IMPACT) SEAT BELT CAUSED SERIOUS PANCREATIC AND VENOUS INJURIES TO DRIVER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JAGUAR XF. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IT TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO START THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING, WHITE SMOKE AND FUEL APPEARED FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO COAST THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO JAGUAR OF GREENSBORO (1205 BRIDFORD PKWY, GREENSBORO, NC 27047, (336) 299-1500) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HIGH COMPRESSION FUEL PUMP, BALL JOINT, AND FUEL INJECTORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIRS. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000.
ON JULY 20, 2017, AT APPROXIMATELY 6:30 AM, I WAS DRIVING MY 2011 JAGUAR XF IN THE FAR RIGHT LANE ENROUTE TO THE PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FOR A FLIGHT TO ATTEND MY YOUNGEST SISTER'S FUNERAL. I WAS TRAUMATIZED BY THE SUDDEN MASSIVE FIREBALL AND CAR FIRE, AND THE POSSIBILITY OF MISSING MY EARLY MORNING FLIGHT. THE FIRE STARTED WHILE I DROVE DOWN I-95 SOUTH IN PHILADELPHIA, PA. IT WAS A MOTORIST THAT POINTED TO ME AND AT MY VEHICLE THAT A PROBLEM HAD OCCURRED. I COULD NOT DETERMINE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS BUT I KNEW THE PERFORMANCE OF MY VEHICLE WAS VERY POOR. ANOTHER INDICATOR OF SOMETHING BEING TERRIBLY WRONG IS THAT I COULD SEE BLUE SMOKE COMING FROM THE HOOD OF MY CAR. I EXITED THE FREEWAY IMMEDIATELY AND STOPPED THE CAR ON ENTERPRISE AVENUE. AFTER RAISING THE HOOD, SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT NOTICE, I COULD SMELL AND SEE GASOLINE LEAKING FROM THE LEFT SIDE OF MY ENGINE. IT DID NOT TAKE LONG FOR THE VEHICLE TO BECOME ENGULFED IN FIREBALL FLAMES FROM GASOLINE LEAKS. I DID NOTHING TO CAUSE THIS VEHICLE FIRE. AT ALL TIMES, I MAINTAINED PROPER SPEED LIMITS AND I ALWAYS CONTINUED PROPER MAINTENANCE RECORDS ON MY VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JAGUAR XF. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, A LOUD ABNORMAL NOISE WAS HEARD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AS THE VEHICLE DECELERATED, BUT KEPT OPERATING. THE CONTACT TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE, OPENED THE DOOR, AND NOTICED FLAMES UNDERNEATH THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR. THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NOTIFIED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW LOT. THE CONTACT CALLED LAND ROVER MONMOUTH (807 NJ-35, OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ 07712, (732) 869-2500), BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 102,000. *TT CONSUMER STATED CAR CAUGHT FIRE WHILE HE WAS DRIVING ON 6/18/18; IN THE PASSING THE VEHICLE CEASED TO OPERATE AS DESCRIBED ON PREVIOUS PAGE. WHEN I OPENED THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR THERE WERE FLAMES COMING FROM UNDER THE CAR PASSING UP THE OPEN DOOR. UPDATED 10/9/18*JB
WHILE DRIVING DOWN I-95 SOUTH, A MOTORIST POINTED TO ME AND AT MY VEHICLE THAT A PROBLEM HAD OCCURRED. MY 2011 XF JAGUAR LEAKED FUEL. I PULLED OFF THE FREEWAY AND STOPPED THE CAR. AFTER RAISING THE HOOD, I COULD SEE GASOLINE LEAKING FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE TOTALLY BURNED UP AFTER HAVING A FUEL FIRE RESULTING FROM GASOLINE LEAKS. NOTHING I COULD HAVE DONE TO CAUSE THIS VEHICLE FIRE.

THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CONTACTED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SALVAGE YARD AND DEEMED DESTROYED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 95,000.

I just recently purchased the car from a dealer here in Salt Lake City. But suddenly began to smell fuel mostly in the backseat area inside the car. I decided to investigate and found there is a leak underneath the rear passenger side of the car which appears to be fuel looks like it may be mixed with the little oil hard to say it's a pretty steady drip especially if I'm parked uphill. This is definitely a safety hazard being that it is fuel and could easily cause a fire putting me my family and others at risk. I noticed there was a recall on these vehicles it is a Jaguar XF 2011 but it looks like it has been closed from what I can tell. I'm hoping that that's not the case and we can get this fixed with minimum or no charge thing it was a recall

The Gear shifter from park to drive is stuck in Drive and won’t come out
The contact owns a 2011 Jaguar XF. The contact stated that the fuel gauge would intermittently indicate that the fuel tank was empty while there was fuel in the tank. The contact stated that upon taking the vehicle to the gas station and refueling, the fuel gauge indicated that the fuel tank was full; however, two days later, the fuel gauge indicated that the fuel tank was empty. The contact did not refuel and continued to drive the vehicle. The fuel gauge later indicated that there was 3/4 tank of gasoline left. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank, the assembly sender, the flange, the gasket, and the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact became aware that the manufacturer had issued a Technical Service Bulletin Number: JTB0001NAS1 regarding the fuel gauge failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 59,147.

Unless included in "Zone A" above, Jaguar is also recalling certain 2011-2015 Jaguar XF vehicles, originally sold, or ever registered, in Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia, or "Zone B." Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain model year 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2015 XF vehicles manufactured February 6, 2008 to October 20, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the driver frontal air bags may be missing a chemical enhancer required for the second stage deployment, resulting in the second stage deploying improperly in certain crashes.
Remedy: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver frontal air bag module, free of charge. The recall began on May 5, 2016. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is J065.
