Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2007-2011 Ranger, 2006-2012 Fusion, Lincoln Zephyr, Lincoln MKZ, 2006-2011 Mercury Milan, 2007-2010 Ford Edge, and Lincoln MKX vehicles. The driver's side air bag inflator may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling.
Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver-side airbag inflator or module with an alternate one, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 9, 2021 for the passenger side, and November 14, 2022 for the driver side. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. These vehicles may be equipped with a driver or passenger frontal air bag inflator used as a replacement service part, that may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling.
Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the driver and passenger air bag module, and replace either the module or the inflator, if necessary, free of charge. The parts include certain driver-side air bag inflators and/or modules, designed to fit 2005-2014 Ford Mustang and Mustang GT500. It also includes certain passenger-side air bag inflators and/or modules designed to fit 2005-2014 Ford Mustang, 2010-2012 Lincoln MKZ, 2010-2012 Ford Fusion, 2010-2011 Mercury Milan, 2007-2011 Ford Ranger, and 2007-2010 Lincoln MKX vehicles. These parts may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2010-2011 Ford Fusion vehicles manufactured July 21, 2008, to March 4, 2011, and 2010-2011 Mercury Milan vehicles manufactured July 23, 2008, to December 10, 2010. The affected vehicles have fuel vapor canisters whose purge valves may not operate properly resulting in abnormal pressure changes in the fuel tank.
Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle powertrain control modules and inspect the vehicle for any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for this issue and perform a leak test on the Canister Purge Valve (CPV). The fuel tank will be inspected for cracks. The CPV and fuel tank will be replaced as necessary. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2016. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 Ford Fusion vehicles without a 3.5L engine and Lincoln MKZ hybrid electric vehicles, 2011 Mercury Milan vehicles, 2011-2012 Ford Taurus, Ford Flex, Lincoln MKS, and Lincoln MKT vehicles equipped with a 3.5L GTDI engine and 2013 Ford Taurus, Ford Flex, Lincoln MKS, and Lincoln MKT vehicles equipped with any available engine. The affected vehicles have electric power steering assist systems that may shut down as a result of a steering motor sensor fault.
Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will check the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). If dealers find any loss of steering assist DTCs, the steering gear will be replaced, free of charge. If, no codes are found during the PSCM inspection, the PSCM software will be updated, free of charge. The recall began on July 21, 2015. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain all weather driver side accessory floor mats sold for use in model year 2006-2011 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan, 2006 Lincoln Zephyr, and 2007-2011 Lincoln MKZ vehicles manufactured November 9, 2007, through October 31, 2010. The affected floor mats may move and possibly interfere with the accelerator pedal.
Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will install new replacement mats, free of charge. The recall began in July 2014. Owners may contact Ford's customer service at 1-800-392-3673. Ford's number for this recall is 14S07. NOTE: Vehicles built after October 31, 2010, while potentially equipped with the same floor mats, are equipped with a Brake Over Accelerator (BOA) feature that prevents simultaneous accelerator and brake application, allowing the vehicle to be safely stopped by pressing firmly and steadily on the brake pedal.

Remedy: FORD WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE REAR BRAKE DISC SURFACE FOR FLATNESS AND REPLACE THE DISCS AS NECESSARY. ADDITIONALLY, THE WHEEL LUG NUTS WILL BE REPLACED ON ALL FOUR WHEELS. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR ABOUT JANUARY 24, 2012. MY DAUGHTER WAS KILLED IN A 2011 FORD FUSION WHEN SHE HIT A TREE THE POLICE ARE SAYING SHE FELL ASLEEP I DON'T BELIEVE THAT MY DAUGHTER'S WORKED NIGHT SHIFT FOR THE LAST SIX MONTHS AND THIS WAS HER DAILY SCHEDULE SHE WAS THE PERFECT DRIVER OF THE FAMILY TO DRIVE 17 HOURS STRAIGHT SHE DID ALL THAT ROAD TRIPS I BELIEVE SHE TRIED AVOID A DEER AND THEN LOST CONTROL OF HER VEHICLE THIS WAS A REALLY HORRIFIC CRASH EVERYTHING THAT WAS ON THE FRONT AND WENT IN TO THE CAR INCLUDING THE MOTOR THE FRONT TIRE THE BUMPERS EVERYTHING THE DRIVER SEAT WAS PUSHED ALL WAY BACK TO THE REAR SEAT I HOPE THIS CAR COULD BE INVESTIGATED I BELIEVE MY DAUGHTER LOST CONTROL OF THE STEERING AND THAT'S WHY SHE CRASHED. GAS LEAKING ON GROUND DUE TO FAULTY FUEL TANK. CAR HAD TO BE TAKEN IN AN LEFT WITH DEALER FOR 6+ MONTHS. PROBLEM WITH ENGINE LIGHT ON REOCCURRING.
The contact owns a 2011 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 mph the driver lost control of the vehicle and drove off the road and crashed into a ditch. During the crash, the front end of the vehicle was severely damaged causing both the driver side and passenger side airbags to deploy. The contact indicated that the airbags did not immediately deploy and both occupants had sustained concussions when the driver made contact with the steering wheel and the passenger made contact with the dashboard. The driver also sustained a right leg injury. Both received medical attention where mediation was provided. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the incident. The failure mileage was 200,000.
WE WERE STATIONARY AT A RED LIGHT AT A 4-WAY INTERSECTION. A CAR FROM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION (COMING TOWARDS US) RAN THE RED LIGHT AND HIT US HEAD-ON DOING APPROX. 50 MPH. THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IN OUR CAR DID NOT DEPLOY DURING THE HEAD-ON COLLISION. THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG DID DEPLOY. I WAS IN THE PASSENGER'S SEAT AND SUFFERED NUMEROUS INJURIES DUE TO THE AIRBAG NOT DEPLOYING.
THIS CAR HAS BEEN CARRIED IN TWICE FOR LOSING POWER STEERING. IT HAPPENED AGAIN ON 09/28/19 WHERE AN ACCIDENT WAS INVOLVED. POWER STEERING WAS LOST WHILE MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. COULD NOT PULL CODES OFF COMPUTER AS POWER WAS LOST BY ACCIDENT.NO AIR BAGS WERE DEPLOYED NOR DID SEAT BELT ENGAGE
I TOOK MY 2011 FORD FUSION TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP IN HARLINGEN TX. THEY VERIFIED THE VEHICLE WAS UP FOR RECALL SINCE IT HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MECHANICS TOOK THE CAR IN AND REPAIRED THE CAR AFTER 7 DAYS OF DROPPING IT OFF. ON DAY 7 THEY CALLED ME THAT IT NEEDED A TIE ROD WHICH I PURCHASED AND DELIVERED FIRST HAND. 2 HOURS LATER THEY CALLED ME THAT I HAD TO PAY $1,300 BECAUSE THE CAR WAS NOT UP FOR RECALL AND THAT IF I DIDN'T PAY THEY WOULD BE PUTTING MY BROKEN PART BACK ON AND RELEASING THE CAR TO ME. I WENT ON TO COMPLAIN TO THE MANAGER AND THEY MANAGED TO TAKE $500 OUT FOR THE REPAIRS THEY HAVE DONE THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE UP FOR RECALL. I WAITED 7 DAYS TO FIND OUT I WAS BEING CHARGED FOR A SERVICE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE. RECALL NUMBER 15NO1 AND 15NO2. I HAVE RECITE AND VIDEO OF THE CONFRONTATION. I HAD ALREADY WRECKED THE CAR DUE TO THE STEERING ISSUES. I ALSO REPAIRED THE DAMAGED AFTER THE ACCIDENT TO LATER FIND OUT IT WAS UP FOR RECALL!

AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY IN 45 MPH FRONT END T-BONE CRASH TO THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE FORD FUSION. THE 2011 FORD FUSION WAS PREVIOUS REPAIRED FOR THE TAKATA AIR BAG FAULT BUT FAILED TO DEPLOY CAUSING MY WIFE NERVE DAMAGE AND ADDITIONAL INJURES THAT ARE STILL BEING EVALUATED.
