ON 11/21/2020 AT 5:30 PM, WE HAD A CAR CRASH ON A HIGHWAY I-495 (CAPITAL BELTWAY, MD), WE WERE IN OUR CAR (I, MY WIFE, 2 KIDS), WE NOTICED A SUDDEN STOP BY MANY CARS AHEAD OF US IN THE SAME LANE WE WERE IN (LEFT LANE), I PRESSED MY BRAKE AND BEEN ABLE TO AVOID REACHING THE CAR AHEAD OF ME BUT UNFORTUNATELY, THE CAR BEHIND ME WAS VERY FAST WITH NO CONTROL IN THEIR BRAKE THUS, SHE HIT MY CAR FROM THE REAR AND PUSHED ME TO HIT THE FRONT CAR. AFTER WE STOPPED, I WENT OUT TO NOTICE THAT 9 CARS WERE INVOLVED IN THE CRASH. ALTHOUGH IT WAS A BIG AND HARD ACCIDENT, MY CAR'S AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY, HOWEVER, IT DID OPEN IN MOST OF THE OTHER CARS. DUE TO THE NONDEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG, WE HAD A LOT OF BODY PAINS, WHIPLASHES, AND MY SON WAS HIT IN HIS HEAD (I HAVE AN EMERGENCY INITIAL DIAGNOSTIC REPORT FROM THE HOSPITAL). IN ADDITION, MY CAR EXPERIENCED HUGE DAMAGES FROM BACK AND FRONT, AND EVENTUALLY, IT HAD BEEN TOTALLY UNFIXABLE ACCORDING TO THE INSPECTION FROM THE COLLISION TECHNICIAN. I HAD CONTACTED THE CAR MANUFACTURER (NISSAN) TO OPEN A CASE, BUT THEY DIDN'T CONSIDER THE RISK THAT WE EXPOSED BY NOT DEPLOYING THE AIRBAGS AND THEY IGNORE THAT THEY ARE HAVING ANY PROBLEMS REGARDING THIS ISSUE AND THEY JUSTIFIED THIS INCIDENT BY SAYING THAT AS LONG AS THE CAR BEEN HIT BY THE REAR THE AIRBAG WILL NOT BE DEPLOYED REGARDLESS OF THE HIT STRENGTH.
MY HOME CAUGHT FIRE MARCH 24, ORIGINATING AT THE CAR PORT WHERE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. NEIGHBOR WITNESSED BRIGHT WHITE EXPLOSIONS TAKING PLACE AT THE CORNER OF THE CAR PORT WHERE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. MY WIFE WOKE TO THE SMOKE ALARM, AND HOUSE WAS FILLED WITH TOXIC SMOKE. AS I ROSE AND INVESTIGATED, I WITNESSED THE INTERIOR SIDE DOOR TO THE CAR PORT ABLAZE ABOVE THE DOOR FRAME. AS I TRIED TO SMACK THE FLAMES WITH A PILLOW, VISIBLE THROUGH THE GLASS DOOR TO THE CAR PORT, THE VEHICLE WAS AN INFERNO. I RACED BACK TO MY WIFE AND SCREAMED WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE NOW. JUST THEN, THE SMOKE BEGAN BILLOWING IN FROM THAT SIDE OF THE HOUSE. VIDEO FOOTAGE FROM A NEIGHBOR'S CAM IS AVAILABLE AND ON LOCAL FIRE DEPT. WEBSITES. ASTON TOWNSHIP, ASTON PA THE FIRE WAS SO SWIFT AND QUICK, IT SEEMED TO APPEAR OUT OF NOWHERE, EXTREMELY HOT FEELING ON SKIN. ...UPDATED 05/10/17 *BF. UPDATED 06/21/17 *BF. 2017 Nissan Rouge should be recalled due to Faulty Transmission (Transmission Malfunction). 2017 Nissan Rouge is dangerous and places the life of driver, passengers and others at risk. Vehicle is available for inspection. On 07/20/2023 at approximately 10pm I arrived home with my Senior Mother and 5-year-old son who were seated in the back seat of my 2017 Nissan Rouge. I placed the car in park in my driveway, my 2017 Nissan Rouge remained in park for approximately 2 minutes while I removed an item from my driveway. When I returned to my vehicle that was in park for approximately 2 minutes with my Senior Mother and 5-year-old son in the backseat, I proceeded to turn the key that was in the ignition and pulled it out of the ignition. When I pulled the key out of the ignition the car proceeded to roll back while I was standing in the driver's door. My Mother and child began to scream that the car was moving and I was stuck between the driver's car door and the vehicle, so I reached for the emergency breaks as I was thrown to the ground, dragged and injured. Car rolled away and crashed into my neighbor's vehicle with my mother and child inside Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center: Problem was confirmed by a class action lawsuit (Case No. 3:21-cv-00099). Other Nissan Rouge car owners experienced their Nissan Rouge rolling away after placing vehicle in park due to transmission failure. Nissan did not recall the vehicles and awarded an additional 24,000 miles on the transmission past the original 60,000 miles. However, they have still not provided car owners notice of this specific issue. I never received notice that my 2017 Nissan transmission could unexpectedly fail causing my 2017 Nissan vehicle to roll away while in park with the engine off. A police report was filed with the Joliet Illinois Police Department. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.

The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at 30 MPH just after a snowstorm, approaching an intersection, and attempting to slow the vehicle, the ABS failed to prevent the brakes from locking, causing the vehicle to skid. As a result, the driver briefly lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and only came to a complete stop after colliding with a snowbank approximately 200 yards from the roadway. The contact also stated that at that same moment, his wife became aware that the electronic power steering was not functioning properly, requiring increased effort in her attempt to regain control of the vehicle. The side curtain air bags were deployed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who had yet to provide a diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact stated that he and his wife both sustained various injuries as a result of the failure: scratches, bruises, and burns possibly caused by the curtain airbag deployment. However, they did not immediately seek medical treatment but planned to at a later date. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 109,000.
