On July 21, 2023, I was vigorously hit in the rear by someone. According to the police report, this person's airbags deployed. Unfortunately, my airbag, although hit extremely hard, did not. I was injured pretty bad and had to get treatment for over a year. I am still not completely healed. I was uneasy about my airbag not deploying and was sent a safety recall notice explaining why it did not. To resolve the issue, the manufacturer is offering free repair of my vehicle. This is not sufficed, and I demand pain and suffering along with medical help. The airbag not deploying during my accident resulted in increased injury. Please help me mediate with the manufacturer.

The vehicle was involved in a crash and no airbags deployed. The front right (passenger) side quarter panel, windshield bumper, headlight, marker light, and turn signal will all need replaced. With no safety restraint system, had the accident taken place at higher speeds, my passenger and myself could have been seriously injured or worse. The transmission, at 54,000, has began to overheat and slip while shifting. The cooling fans only work with the air conditioner on causing the vehicle to overheat. This vehicle has a 194° thermostat and the temperature gauge reads 227° but the actual gauge shows the temperature still in the middle, where it always is. I have replaced the coolant bottle due to it separating at the seam causing a coolant leak. Also, NHTSA show that I have zero pending recalls when I know there is because I never took the vehicle to the dealership because the dealership is permanently closed.
If you have my jeep renegade in drive and you open a door it activates the emergency brake. My husband was in a wreck in the lowes parking lot. He hadn’t shut his door right and so he opened the driver door slightly which activated the emergency brake which in turn caused him to slam into a parked car. I don’t see how this is a safety feature at all.

The front frame, tie rod, and the radiator was damaged. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 40,000.
2019 RENEGADE OWNER HAD SOFTWARE ISSUES SINCE DAY 1 - CHRONIC ISSUES ARE A DISTRACTION & UNSAFE & YES I CRASHED THE CAR DUE TO THAT DISTRACTION. HEATED SEATS SHUT OFF FOR NO REASON. REMOTE SERVICES WOULDN'T WORK RADIO HAD TO BE REPLACED & NOW HEATED SEATS STAY ON BUT NOW MY STOP N GO DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. CAR IS IN SHOP ALL THE TIME WITH NO REAL RESOLUTION - I AM ONLY TRADING PROBLEMS.CAR HESITATES WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A LIGHT OR FROM A STOP FRONT WINDSHIELD MAJOR BLIND SPOT. DOORS DON'T STAY IN AN OPEN POSITION WHEN GETTING IN & CONSTANTLY FALL SHUT ON ME & MY BABY WHEN TRYING TO LOAD HIM INTO CAR. CHRYSLER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED & THEY DON'T REMOTELY CARE ABOUT MY ISSUES NOR DO THEY SEE THAT ALL MY DEALER VISITS AS UNACCEPTABLE. I DIDN'T BUY A NEW CAR FOR CONSTANT DEALER VISITS & NOW I AM STUCK IN A UNSAFE UNRELIABLE VEHICLE THAT CHRYSLER WON'T BUY BACK & THE NEGATIVE EQUITY IS SO BAD ON THIS VEHICLE THAT I CAN'T TRADE OUT OF IT WITHOUT A MAJOR LOSS. I HAVE BEEN IN MANY OTHER JEEP VEHICLES THAT HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE SAME SOFTWARE ISSUES AS MINE. WORSE BUY EVER!
Due to the rear camera not working due to a software issue for over a year now I can't adjust my wipers during the rain. I can't turn on or off the lights or anything else that is controlled by the screen, it doesn't work due to software issue. Since I can't use my camera I can't see things behind me. Sometimes when backing the parking brake will engage on its own with warning light parking brake sensor. Since I can't see the screen I can't adjust the heat or A/C, which makes driving in the winter difficult. I can't turn on the defroster since I can't see the screen, It's just black. I have done a live chat several times and they tell me they aren't issuing a recall. The screen has been black for over a year now. They have fixed other models but not the Renegade or Compass.
After purchasing my vehicle, the radio screen started glitching & blinking. Now, the screen is total black, but the radio still plays. This should be a safety recall because the backup camera do not show, the temperatures or anything. Will you please respond because I need this fixed A.S.A.P.
Infotainment Console system crashes and has definite Failure which causes driver to lose visibility of climate controls and other safety features like backup camera settings and controls, this issue is reported amongst a widespread amount of Jeep renegade 2019 owners and after inspection dealer is only recommending 100% replacement at cost of driver. This is a national risk issue.
Widespread Vehicle air pump failure in Jeep renegade is causing significant oil leakage and results in unsafe vehicle failure. This is reported across multiple forums as well as my own vehicle, which became disabled on the interstate. Upon inspection dealers are noting no oil even with scheduled oil changes and recommending full replacement of pump which has significant burden of cost
am writing to formally report multiple serious issues with my 2019 Jeep Renegade (VIN: [XXX] ). I take good care of my vehicle, but it has been experiencing rough shifts, lurching and jerking during acceleration, loud noises from the engine or transmission, hesitation, unexpected power loss, and it frequently displays a warning that the license plate light is off. Recently, the car overheated and required a water pump replacement, and since then it emits a burning hose smell. Additionally, the driver’s seat does not lock properly, and the radio often turns off and on by itself. These ongoing problems not only compromise the safety, reliability, and proper functioning of my vehicle but also create a significant financial burden. I am requesting an immediate inspection and resolution, and I would appreciate guidance on the next steps or the earliest available appointment for service. An impact on the brake pedals can cause the pedal arm and the brake pedal lever to disengage. Moreover, the unlocking lever has a low stiffness due to variations in clamping force and friction. Both these reasons can lead the brake pedals to collapse during braking, preventing the driver from activating the service brakes. This could impair the braking performance, increasing the risk of an accident. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
The electrical cable connection to the vehicle's Integrated Dual Charge Module (IDCM) may not be tightened to the correct torque. This can result in the 12-volt battery not being charged, which can cause the vehicle to shut down unexpectedly, thereby increasing the risk of an accident and injuries. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia, 2018-2025 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, 2019-2023 Fiat 500X, Jeep Renegade, and 2024 Fiat 500E vehicles. A seat belt buckle switch sensor may be improperly connected, preventing the front seat air bag from deploying as intended.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2020 Jeep Gladiator and Jeep Cherokee, 2019-2020 Ram 1500 Pickup, Ram 2500 Pickup, Ram 3500 Pickup, Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler, and Jeep Renegade and 2019 Dodge Challenger vehicles equipped with 8.4" or 12" radio displays. A software error can cause the rearview camera image to remain displayed after the vehicle has been shifted out of reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rearview Mirrors."
