I was in a head on collision with another car. None of my airbags deployed. The fire department and police department were concerned and shocked that they did not deploy. They cut the wiring to the battery for fear it would deploy late and I was injured in the car with a firefighter holding my neck. My car was a total loss.

We were in a serious car accident. We were T-boned and rolled two or three times. We had to be pulled from the upside down Grand Cherokee. Our complaint is the fuel fill line broke and poured 23 gallons of raw gasoline into the car. My husband was overcome by the gas and and to be revived twice. I had blacked out due to the force of the air bags. We were okay with now, we were removed before the car exploded. The gas should have never entered the cabin!!! If our experience could help someone else we would be relieved.

seat belts1 ferito
NHTSA #11621608
I have had 2 incidents in which the 2nd row seat belts on either of the end seats fails to release. The first incident resulted in a seat belt being wrapped around the headrest and unable to release. I had to take the car to a mechanic for it be undone resulting in a broken headrest. This was in May 2024. Today the seatbelt was stuck around my child's abdomen. The seatbelt got tighter around his stomach and he tried get out of it. I parked the car and tried to get the seatbelt to release and it refused to. It continued to get tighter and tighter making it difficult to breathe. I had to call 911 for assistance on the side of the road. 2 police officers had to help me lift him and get him free- the entire time the seatbelt refused to release. My son has bruises and scratches from trying to get out and now is terrified to wear a seatbelt. There is something wrong with the mechanism for the seatbelt that does not allow it release. I am now scared that if we are in an accident and the seatbelt tightens across someone's chest or one of my children's neck that I won't be able to get them out in time. This has been reported to Jeep who advised that I fill out this form.

On February 28, 2026, while preparing to leave our home with our two children in the vehicle, we experienced a critical vehicle malfunction. Upon attempting to start the car, all dashboard warning lights illuminated, including transmission error, “service needed,” and “automatic emergency braking system needs service.” The battery warning light was also on. The vehicle would not start initially. After eventually starting the car, we temporarily placed it in neutral and pushed it out of the garage, during which the brakes functioned normally. The vehicle was briefly driven and appeared operational, but due to ongoing safety concerns and multiple recalls, we parked it at the top of our driveway. On the following day, the vehicle would not start again. We arranged for it to be towed to the dealership. On March 2, 2026, when the tow truck arrived, the car’s position prevented loading onto the truck. Multiple jump-start attempts failed initially, then briefly started the vehicle, but it immediately shut off again. We placed the vehicle in neutral using the manual override and tested the brakes, which initially showed stiffness but were operational. While attempting to move the vehicle to allow tow truck access, the brakes suddenly failed. Despite pressing the brake pedal fully and brake lights being illuminated, the vehicle did not stop and rolled uncontrollably into our garage. Consequences: •Garage property damage: approximately $11,000 •Personal injury: my father-in-law fell while the vehicle rolled out of control •Vehicle remains at dealership with an open case, but the situation remains unresolved Safety Concern: This incident raises serious safety concerns regarding the reliability of the braking system and vehicle electronics. The vehicle became uncontrollable while brakes were applied, posing a direct risk of injury or death to occupants and others. We fear that similar failures could occur under normal driving conditions, including highway speeds.
