WE WERE STOPPED IN TRAFFIC, SEAT BELTS WERE FASTENED, TURN SIGNAL ON, AND WE WERE REAR-ENDED BY A WORK VAN MOVING AT VERY HIGH SPEED. OUR CAR WAS TOTALED. THE FRONT SEATS WERE BROKEN DUE TO THE IMPACT. NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. NOT FRONT, NOT SIDE.
I WAS DRIVING ON A 3 LANE HIGHWAY AND HAD SLOWED DOWN WITH HAZARDS ON WHEN I WAS REAR ENDED MOVING ABOUT 7 MPH. I SUFFERED SEVERE INJURIES INCLUDING A GRAND MAL SEIZURE AND 2 BRAIN BLEEDS BECAUSE I BOUNCED MY HEAD OFF THE STEERING WHEEL AS WELL AS MY PASSENGER HITTING HER HEAD ON THE DASH AND CAUSING HER TO BLACKOUT BECAUSE THE CAR AIRBAGS DID NOT GO OFF WHEN WE GOT HIT BY SOMEONE DRIVING 65 MPH. THE CAR HAD BEEN HIT SO HARD IT GOT HIT INTO A BUSH CAUSING FRONTAL DAMAGE TO AND SEVERE REAR DRIVER DAMAGE.
IT WAS RAINING, I WENT TO SLOW DOWN AND IT WAS AS IF THE FRONT WHEELS LOCKED UP, TCS BLINKING ON AND OFF, AND THE TIRES REMAINED PULLING AS IF POWER WAS STILL BEING SENT TO THE FRONT TWO, LOCKED UP, TIRES AND I HAD NO CONTROL AS THE CAR PULLED ME STRAIGHT FORWARD INTO THE SIDE OF ANOTHER VEHICLE RESULTING IN A COLLISION THAT HAD ME HIT A STOPPED CAR SO HARD IT SPUN THE OTHER CAR AROUND AND TOTALED MY CAR. THIS ALL HAPPENED WITHIN 500 FEET OF WHERE I INITIALLY PULLED OUT ONTO THE ROAD I WAS TRAVELING ON WHEN THE CAR STARTED TO MALFUNCTION TO THE ROAD WHERE I ATTEMPTED TO TURN ONTO TO AVOID THE CRASH AND COULD NOT MANEUVER THE VEHICLE AT ALL.
MY DAUGHTER WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION ON 9/27/2018 IN HER 2015 HONDA CIVIC. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND SHE HIT HER HEAD, CHEST, AND PELVIS ON THE STEERING WHEEL. WE HAVE HAD THIS CAR SINCE IT WAS NEW. SHE WAS DRIVING ABOUT 35MPH WHEN A CAR STARTED TO TURN IN FRONT OF HER, AND THEY COLLIDED NEARLY HEAD-ON.

I was in a car accident, I rear ended a vehicle. The other vehicle was stopped, I did not break at all and ran into them. My airbags did not deploy & there was substantial damage to my vehicle (deemed totaled by insurance assessor). My safety was put at risk as I sustained whiplash (whiplash resulted in neck pain day(s) following and bruising on my upper legs. When the assessor reached out to me, he stated that the air bags should have deployed and seemed to be a malfunction.
On 10/15/2022 our 2015 Honda Civic Coupe vehicle was in a front end collision at 70 mph. NONE of the airbags deployed. The vehicle is at my insurance company wrecking yard and would be available for inspection, if needed. My 16 year old son had injuries including a concussion and whiplash due to the air bags not deploying. The police, firefighters, paramedics, hospital doctors, and my insurance company ALL say that the airbags should have absolutely deployed. There were no warning lamps or messages that alerted us there was any concern before the accident.

FROM THE IMPACT THE SEAT WAS TWISTED AND ONCE AGAIN NO AIRBAGS CAME OUT. ADDITIONALLY, THE SEAT BELT GOT STUCK AND ONCE I UNBUCKLED MY SEAT BELT IT DID NOT RETURN TO ITS PLACE LIKE IT NORMALLY DOES. WITHIN THIS COMPLAINT, I WILL ATTACH PICTURES FROM THE CRASH AND IT SHOWS HOW THE AIRBAGS DID NOT COME OUT.

THE DRIVER STRUCK THE STEERING WHEEL RECEIVING A MAJOR BRAIN CONCUSSION AND BROKEN NOSE UPON BEING PUSHED BY V-1 INTO V-3. SEVERAL ON THE SCENE QUESTIONED THE LACK OF AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT OR THE SEAT-BELT NOT PROVIDING THE RESTRAINT NECESSARY TO PREVENT THE INJURY. MY CONCERN IS THIS IS A FAILURE OF THE SAFETY SYSTEMS NECESSARY TO RESTRAIN THE DRIVER. REPORTING PARTY IS THE FATHER OF THE DRIVER OF V-2, A TEEN DRIVER.

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Civic vehicles manufactured January 16, 2014, to November 6, 2014 and 2015 Fit vehicles manufactured March 12, 2014, to May 12, 2015. The software settings that control the transmission operation may result in damage to the transmission drive pulley shaft.
Rimedio: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will update the software for the transmission, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin October 30, 2015. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are JU2 (Civic) and JU3(Fit).
