THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 37,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
ON 3/8/2018, MY 2015 MITSUBISHI MIRAGE WAS HIT ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE BY A SIMI-TRUCK GOING 50 OR MORE MILES PER HOUR. YET, MY AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I SUFFERED SIGNIFICANT INJURIES FROM THIS ACCIDENT WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN LESS SEVERE, IF MY AIR BAGS DEPLOYED ACCORDINGLY. I WAS NOT TOLD WHEN BUYING THE CAR OF ANY DEFECTS WITH THE AIR BAGS OR SENSORS. THERE IS CURRENTLY AN OPEN RECALL ON THE AIRBAGS STILL BEING RESEARCHED. I FOUND THIS OUT AFTER SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS AS TO WHY MY AIR BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. IT WAS JUST PUT IN AROUND THE TIME I BOUGHT MY CAR.
THE CAR WAS PARKED ON A QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD STREET AND THERE WAS NOTHING REMARKABLE ABOUT THE WEATHER CONDITIONS. AFTER STARTING THE ENGINE AND PUTTING THE CAR IN DRIVE, THE ENGINE ACCELERATED SPONTANEOUSLY AND UNCONTROLLABLY IN VERY LITTLE TIME, CAUSING THE CAR TO CRASH INTO A BUILDING AFTER ONLY A FEW SECONDS. THE CAR TRAVELED A VERY SHORT DISTANCE BUT WITNESSES SAID THAT THE CAR CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE AS IT APPROACHED THE BUILDING. THE DRIVER HAD INTENDED TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN BUT WAS UNABLE TO DO SO DUE TO THE VELOCITY ITHE CAR WAS TRAVELING. THE CRASH WAS NOT DUE TO DRIVER ERROR. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED VERY SERIOUS INJURIES AND WAS HOSPITALIZED. THE DRIVER WILL NEED EXTENSIVE REHABILITATION. THE CAR WAS TOTALED. THE CRASH OCCURRED IN THE AFTERNOON.

AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE WENT OVER A RAVINE AND CRASHED INTO TREES. THE CONTACT LOST CONSCIOUSNESS AND WAS AWAKENED IN THE REAR SEAT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE HEAD, BOTH KNEES, CHEST, AND LOWER BACK THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,809.

I HAD A CAR WRECK ON JUNE 10, 2016. I HIT AN SUV THAT PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME, AND MY AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY ON INTIAL IMPACT. I HIT THE SUV, THEN HIT AN IMBANKMENT. WHEN I HIT THE IMBANKMENT, IT DEPLOYED. IT SHOULD HAVE COME OUT ON INTIAL IMPACT. THE IMPACT WS SO GREAT, I HIT MY HEAD ON WINDSHIELD AND CRACKED GLASS ABOVE STERRING WHEEL, EVEN THOUGH I HAD MY SEAT BELT ON. I HAVE PICTURES OF CAR, BUT IT WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO UPLOAD THEM FOR SOME REASON. I CAN EMAIL THEM TO YOU IF YOU NEED ME TO.

THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, DROVE OFF THE ROAD, AND CRASHED INTO A COVERT PIPE. THE CONTACT REGAINED CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO ANOTHER COVERT PIPE. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE ABDOMINAL AREA, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED AND THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000. THE DOT NUMBER WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V686000 (AIR BAGS) AFTER THE COLLISION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
My car Vibrates drastically, can see it while im looking at the engine. I can feel it in the car from the floor all way up to my steering wheel. It can be made available for an inspection upon request. Im worried parts may break apart or engine fall out. I had a private mechanic look at it amd he verified the drastic vibration of the whole engine block. Only checked over by my private mechanic. I've always noticed it since I got it. Vibration has gotten worse over the years. No warning lights I've seen besides the one that has 2 wave like lines under an exclamation point.
Recall # SR-17-006 was repaired. It appears as open on website.
Vent Blower failure: Past 4 months on 4 occasions vent blower intermittently would not come on but would come back on after 15 to 30 minutes, approximately. The last 3 days of vehicle operation the vent blower motor does not come on at all with the first of 3 days the blower could be heard running at an extremely low speed. The vents at windshield and blower filter have remained free of obstruction and well maintained. The vent blower failure impacts safety to myself and others due to the inability to mitigating fogging on the windows which severely impacts visibility. The problem has not, as of yet, been addressed to my dealership/independent service center: Owner has extensive electronic & electrical background and is an expert troubleshooter. The harnesses at fuse panel and blower motor have been verified and appear proper and the fuse was not blown. I do not have a schematic of this electrical system and voltage at blower harness was not checked. (My thoughts on problem areas that may be impacting this safety concern whether it is an isolated case or widespread problem: Blower Motor - failed windings, thermal overload, bearings, and brushes/pitting as applicable. Vent Controller component failure. Wiring and harness issue.) I intend to bring this safety concern issue to manufacturer or dealership or independent service center as it is affordable. Symptoms: See first paragraph. The blower failure was 4 times at car start-up and once while driving.
mirage 2015 DL Automatic trasmission CVT, The rubber on the driver's left side has a buzzing sound, the caliper was replaced. CV Axle was replaced. Left side By manufacturer's warranty. on that side of the left side and also has a Wheel Bearing problem. on the left side it is making a very huge humming noise and they do not want to give me a guarantee because they indicate that I am the second owner. of the vehicle and therefore they only gave me a guarantee up to 30,000 miles I want to report that this is a vehicle defect.
IN AUGUST 2020, THE BUS BEGAN TO LOCK THE LEFT CALIPER OF THE FRONT RUBBER, WHICH TOOK THE DEALER CABRERA HERMANOS IN ARECIBO PR. AND THEY DID NOT FIND THE NOISE BUT THEY DID NOT AND AT THE HOUR THE BUS CONTINUES TO LOCK THE LEFT CALIPER. THEY REPAIRED A LEFT REAR CYLINDER AT THE TIME.
IN THE YEAR 2020 I TOOK IT FOR SERVICE BUT THEY DID NOT FIND THE PROBLEM THEN IN 2021 IN JANUARY I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE RUBBER ON THE FRONT LEFT SIDE IS STICKING, THE SHAFT IS OVERHEATING, A VIBRATION IN THE FRONT AXLE WHICH IS NOT CONSTANT. EVERYTHING INDICATES THAT THEY ARE LOCKING THE PAD AND THEY INDICATE THAT THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT I HAVE TO PAY ALL THE EXPENSES. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED AN EXCESS OF FUEL CONSUMPTION SINCE THE LAST SOFTWARE UPDATE THAT YOU RECEIVED FROM THE DEALER CABRERA BROTHER HATILLO CONSUMES MORE GASOLINE THAN A 2006 TOYOTA COROLLA IT WAS TESTED BECAUSE THEY RUN THE SAME MILES SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS VEHICLE CONSUMES MORE GASOLINE THAN WHAT WHAT THE MANUFACTURER SAYS . $ 20.00 OF GAS AT 64.7 A LITER FULL TANK CAN ONLY RUN 255.7 MILES. I HAVE CHECKED IT FOR 2 WEEKS IT CONSUMES A LOT OF GASOLINE MORE THAN A 2006 TOYOTA COROLLA

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Mirage vehicles. The internal acceleration sensor in the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) can misinterpret vibrations such as those from poor road conditions or a flat tire to be a sensor error thereby disabling the air bags from deploying in a crash.
Solution : MMNA will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the SRS-ECU software, free of charge. The recall began on November 10, 2017. Owners may contact MMNA customer service at 1-888-648-7820. MMNA's number for this recall is SR-17-006.
Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Mitsubishi Mirage vehicles manufactured July 27, 2013, to September 2, 2015. If the driver enters an affected vehicle with their feet covered water and salt, it may soak through the carpet and cause corrosion to a wiring connector located in a junction box behind a kick panel to the left of the driver's footrest.
Solution : MMNA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the affected connectors, replacing any found to be corroded. A waterproof sheet will be installed over the connectors to prevent future corrosion. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in February 2016. Owners may contact MMNA customer service at 1-888-648-7820. MMNA's number for this recall is SR-16-001.
