IN CAR ACCIDENT ON DEC 12, 2019. UPON IMPACT. SEVERE PAIN CAUSED FROM AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. MYSELF AND MY SON WHEN BOTH HIT IN THE FACE. MY CAR WAS COMPLETELY TOTALED DUE TO AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT . MY CAR WAS TURNED A LITTLE TO THE RIGHT TO AVOID FULL BLOWN REAR IMPACT COMING UP OVER HILL. WAS ON A CITY STREET AND MY STEERING WHEEL WAS BROKEN IN HALF. I AM RECEIVING RECALL ON AIR BAGS 40 DAYS AFTER ACCIDENT OCCURRED. MY CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING A RENTAL AT COST TO ME FOR ALMOST 6 WEEKS NOW.

on May 17, 2021 I was involved in a wreck which the airbags did not deploy after impact. There is a police report and an insurance claim pending on the wreck.

THE 2006 LINCOLN ZEPHYR WAS TRAVELING AT A SPEED OF 40 AND THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE SUDDENLY BLEW UP. THE MECHANIC INSPECTED THE CAUSE AND CONCLUDED THAT THE ORIGINAL ALUMINUM LINCOLN-FACTORY WHEEL WAS DEFECTIVE. THE MECHANIC ALSO INSPECTED THE OTHER THREE WHEELS AND THE SAME PROBLEM IS CONTINUING TO OCCUR WITH ALL THE 2006 LINCOLN ZEPHYR WHEELS. THE MANUFACTURING DEFECT WAS DESCRIBED BY THE MECHANIC AS FOLLOWS: THE CHROME IS PEELING OFF THE WHEEL, WHICH PREVENTS A GOOD SEAL BETWEEN THE WHEEL AND THE TIRE, RESULTING IN THE LOSS OF AIR PRESSURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE PCM WAS DAMAGED DURING THE FIRE AND WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED AND RECALIBRATED. I tool my car in for a recall, they said they could not fix the recall cux it was too rusted. They said the wouldn't even put it on a lift cuz of the rust, however it was just on a lift a week ago at an auto shop. Also when I dropped off my car the air conditioner blower worked, I go to pick it up and turn it on and nothing, I call and ask and they tell me they only touched the steering wheel, I said to him then why was power cux to my vehicle? You didn't disconnect the battery or anything he said no, however when I left the car with then it was on 9.83 fm radio and when I got it back it was on a 500 station from am radio. So I know power was cut somehow. I need to know what to do. I can't keep driving with my brakes like this.
The airbag sensor light is indicating a sensor needs replacement. I have replaced airbags on both the driver and passenger side due to recall. Diagnostics state it is the sensor, passenger side. I have attempted to have repaired, and after 5 weeks and 4 mechanics, no one can seem to get the new sensor to connect to the system and work properly. I did not have a vehicle for weeks! PLEASE HELP!

The vehicle was then taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with the brake caliper needing to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact that unless the caliper was fixed, the recall repair would not be performed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure but provided no further assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2007-2011 Ranger, 2006-2012 Fusion, Lincoln Zephyr, Lincoln MKZ, 2006-2011 Mercury Milan, 2007-2010 Ford Edge, and Lincoln MKX vehicles. The driver's side air bag inflator may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling.
Solution : Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver-side airbag inflator or module with an alternate one, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 9, 2021 for the passenger side, and November 14, 2022 for the driver side. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2006-2010 Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, Lincoln Zephyr and MKZ vehicles. The valves within the ABS Hydraulic Control Units (HCU) may react with brake fluids containing specific corrosion preventative additives. This reaction may cause the valves to not close properly.
Solution : Ford will notify owners, and dealers will flush the brake system with DOT 4 fluid and install a new brake fluid reservoir cap. In addition, the HCU will be tested to detect a possible stuck valve condition, replacing the HCU as necessary. All services will be performed free of charge. The recall began April 1, 2021. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain all weather driver side accessory floor mats sold for use in model year 2006-2011 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan, 2006 Lincoln Zephyr, and 2007-2011 Lincoln MKZ vehicles manufactured November 9, 2007, through October 31, 2010. The affected floor mats may move and possibly interfere with the accelerator pedal.
