MY WIFE AND I WERE INVOLVED IN A COLLISION AFTER A WOMAN, WHO CLAIMS TO HAVE FALLEN ASLEEP, SIDESWIPED THE CAR IMMEDIATELY AHEAD OF US ON A 2-LANE ROAD. IN AN ATTEMPT TO AVOID A HEAD-ON COLLISION, I SWERVED OFF THE ROAD TO THE RIGHT. SHE ACCELERATED, TURNED LEFT AND GOT IN FRONT OF US AND WE COLLIDED WITH HE RIGHT FRONT FENDER AT THE WHEEL-WELL. THE CAR WAS TOTALED. THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND THE FRONT END WAS CRUSHED. I WAS DRIVING AND MY LEFT ARM WAS BROKEN. THE LITTLE AIRBAG IN THE STEERING COLUMN HIT ME IN THE CHEST, BRUISED ME, AND CAUSED SEVERE PAIN. MY WIFE WAS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. HER SEATBELT WAS SECURELY FASTENED, BUT IT DID NOT HOLD HER IN PLACE AS IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO. ON IMPACT, SHE MET THE AIRBAG HALFWAY AND MOST OF HER RIBS WERE FRACTURED. FOUR (4) OF HER VERTEBRAE WERE FRACTURED, AS WAS HER RIGHT ANKLE. HER LUNGS WERE BRUISED AND ONE WAS PUNCTURED. HER LEFT KNEE HIT THE DASHBOARD AND DROVE HER FEMUR THROUGH HER PELVIS. SHE WAS TAKEN TO UMD SHOCK-TRAUMA CENTER WHERE SHE WAS INTUBATED, SEDATED AND PUT IN TRACTION FOR SEVERAL DAYS BEFORE A 7 HOUR SURGERY TO REBUILD HER HIP AND FEMUR. SHE WAS IN A FULL-TORSO CAST AND USED A WHEELCHAIR FOR >6 WEEKS. SHE IS STILL REBOUNDING FROM THE EFFECTS OF THE INEFFECTIVE SEATBELT, WHICH DID NOT WORK AS DESIGNED.
Brake failure. Brake line leaks. ABS not working. Never notified of recall until search was conducted. We want this fixed.

Varsity Ford Lincoln is refusing to fix open recalls. My vehicle has been sitting with them for 90 days. Lincoln is refusing to help. Now the dealership in a letter is stating they are not going to fix the open recalls because I have to pay them money to fix my brakes before they'll do that in a text. They are extorting me.
Car is inoperable due to the brake issue and airbag issue. Lincoln refuses to assist with getting it towed or working with the dealership. They will say that they do these things or are trying to help but they do not. This has been going on for 5 years. Dealerships will not fix the vehicle because the vehicle is too old they are telling me. The car is sitting and cannot be driven and nobody will help. I can't sell it I can't drive it I can't use it I can't do anything.
Brakes have failed. Cannot even get to dealership because of this for the repair. Also, airbag light is still on and no repair listed for recall issue.
Car brakes in front of my son, hit the brakes they did not respond pedal went to floor. Car did slow but ended up rear ending car in front of us.
WHILE WAITING AT A STOP SIGN, THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME STARTED TO GO. SOMEONE GOING ACROSS TRAFFFIC RAN THE STOP SIGN. THE DRIVER IN FRONT OF ME HIT THE BRAKES TO AVOID COLLISION. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO BRAKE MY BRAKES JUST KIND OF SPUTTERED FORWARD AND I WAS UNABLE TO STOP IN TIME TO AVOID HITTING THE BACK OF THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE BUT THE OTHER PARTY DID REPORT MINOR DAMAGES TO THEIR VEHICLE WHICH I WAS FORCED TO PAY FOR.
I HAVE RECEIVED LETTER FOR RECALL AND LETTER STATING THERE PARTS AVAILABLE FOR THIS RECALL. I CALLED THE NEAREST DEALER AN GAVE MY INFO AND THE RESPONSE WAS THAT THEY HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED PARTS. I ATTEMPTED AGAIN BEING THAT I HAD NOT HEARD FROM THEM AFTER THEM STATING THAT THEY WOULD CALL WHEN PARTS CAME AVAILABLE. IT'S HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR, AN IN THE YEAR I HAVE BEEN IN TWO ACCIDENTS. I NEED THIS ISSUE TO BE FIXED REPLACED OR REFUNDED OF THE CAR VALUE. THE WAIT HAS BEEN WAY TOO LONG CAUSING ANXIETY WITH THE STRESS OF BEING SEVERELY HURT OR EVEN KILLED. * (RECALL RELATED INCIDENT) TS
MY CAR HAS HAD THE BRAKE PEDAL GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS. IT WOULD SUDDENLY GO SOFT/SPONGY AND BRAKING DISTANCE WOULD INCREASE DRAMATICALLY. THE PROBLEM WOULD OCCUR WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, QUITE RANDOMLY, EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS. I HAVE BROUGHT IT TO SEVERAL FORD DEALERS, AND NONE OF THEM EVER HAD A LEGITIMATE FIX, ONLY SAYING THAT THE SPONGY BRAKE PEDAL RESOLVES ITSELF AFTER AWHILE, AND IT WOULD EVENTUALLY, BUT THE ISSUE WOULD ALWAYS RETURN AGAIN. THE FORD/LINCOLN DEALERS SAID THE ISSUE OF THE UNUSUALLY SOFT BRAKE PEDAL WAS RELATED TO THE ABS SYSTEM. RECENTLY, I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, THE BRAKE PEDAL ISSUE RETURNED, AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO BRAKE IN TIME, AS THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, AND THE CAR DID NOT STOP AS IT NORMALLY WOULD HAVE. THIS IS A CRITICAL SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.
