High-pressure fuel pump split in half spontaneously upon start seeping fuel from fuel pump
Fuel is leaking from high-pressure fuel pump seeping from the fuel pump. The fuel pump was split in half gas was covering everything. As you can see in the photos, fuel is squirting out of the fuel pump.
Carvana sold me this vehicle as with 44850 miles on the odometer. The vehicle true odometer reading is close to 189500. The odometer has been altered and Carvana knew it was not the true odometer reading.

The contact owns a 2015 Lexus RC 350. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, it ran for a short while before suddenly hesitating and stalling. All attempts to restart the vehicle failed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA Campaign Number 20V012000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 110,000.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2015-2022 Lexus RC, 2016-2020 GS, and 2022 IS vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.
Solution : Dealers will replace the fuel pump assembly, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed June 5, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 26LB05 and 26LA05.
