Additionally, the contact stated that on 5 separate occasions while driving, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle hesitated to respond, causing his vehicle to rear-end his wife’s vehicle. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT ALSO STATE THAT HE HAS DRIVEN THE VEHICLE AND WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED IT FAILS TO STOP THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY. UNFORTUNATELY, MY VEHICLE IS SUFFERING FROM THIS BRAKE PROBLEM AND I HAVE LOST USE OF MY BRAKES ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. ON JUNE 26, 2020, MY BRAKES FAILED RESULTING IN A PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT. AFTER BODY DAMAGE REPAIR, MY BRAKES HAVE AGAIN FAILED. THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP FINALLY AGREED TO EXAMINE THE VEHICLE AND FOUND THAT THE BRAKE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE RECALL. NEVERTHELESS, IN ADDITION TO THE THOUSANDS PAID TO REPAIR MINE AND THE OTHER PARTY'S VEHICLE'S DAMAGE, I'VE HAD TO PAY THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP $1093.80 TO FIX THE CAR. THE BRAKE FAILURE IS DANGEROUS AND POTENTIALLY DEADLY. LINCOLN'S DELAY IN REMEDYING THE ISSUE IS THE DIRECT CAUSE OF MY CAR ACCIDENT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHOM DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE AS THE MASTER CYLINDER HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO A DEALER WHOM STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS NOT RELATED TO THE MASTER CYLINDER HOWEVER, A FAILURE CAUSE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. AUTHORIZED REPAIR WITH OEM FORD PARTS, NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL 11/12/18. DEALER VEHEMENTLY DENIES HCU IS THE ISSUE EVEN AFTER I PROPOSE THIS SCENARIO. STATES NOT THE HCU 11/12/18-DEALER CALLED SAID PEDAL IS MUCH BETTER, HOWEVER, ALTHOUGH THERE ARE NO INDICATIONS OR CODES, HCU IS FAULTY, WANTS ME TO PICK UP CAR. STATES THAT PEDAL TRAVEL RETURNS, BUT MIGHT WANT TO HAVE THE HCU REPLACED. !! DEALER PREVIOUSLY STATED HCU WAS NOT THE ISSUE, THE REAR CALIPERS WERE: DUE TO ERRATIC BEHAVIOR. SERVICE TO THIS POINT TO HAVE COMPONENTS REPLACED, THAT HAVE NOT RESOLVED INITIAL COMPLAINT VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN FRONTAL CRASH FROM PREVIOUS OWNER. I WAS DRIVING ON SR 441 WHEN A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME STRUCK THE MEDIAN. I HIT THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE BRAKES DID NOT RESPOND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AL PACKER FORD (TOWED). THE DEALER REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER. ON OR ABOUT APRIL 15, MY SON AS OPERATING THE SAME VEHICLE WHEN HE NEEDED TO STOP QUICKLY. MY SON HIT THE BRAKES AND THEY DID NOT RESPOND. Have tried to schedule an appointment with my local Lincoln dealer to have the recall on my car fixed but they told at this time they have no way to fix it.

Bought vehicle from owner 02/2023. Check brake system light came on a few months after, breaks started to skip and making a sound. Took it in to Ford dealership and they showed 2 recalls but never said it would be fixed.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2007-2011 Ranger, 2006-2012 Fusion, Lincoln Zephyr, Lincoln MKZ, 2006-2011 Mercury Milan, 2007-2010 Ford Edge, and Lincoln MKX vehicles. The driver's side air bag inflator may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling.
Solución: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver-side airbag inflator or module with an alternate one, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 9, 2021 for the passenger side, and November 14, 2022 for the driver side. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2006-2010 Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, Lincoln Zephyr and MKZ vehicles. The valves within the ABS Hydraulic Control Units (HCU) may react with brake fluids containing specific corrosion preventative additives. This reaction may cause the valves to not close properly.
Solución: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will flush the brake system with DOT 4 fluid and install a new brake fluid reservoir cap. In addition, the HCU will be tested to detect a possible stuck valve condition, replacing the HCU as necessary. All services will be performed free of charge. The recall began April 1, 2021. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 19S54.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain all weather driver side accessory floor mats sold for use in model year 2006-2011 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan, 2006 Lincoln Zephyr, and 2007-2011 Lincoln MKZ vehicles manufactured November 9, 2007, through October 31, 2010. The affected floor mats may move and possibly interfere with the accelerator pedal.
Solución: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will install new replacement mats, free of charge. The recall began in July 2014. Owners may contact Ford's customer service at 1-800-392-3673. NOTE: Vehicles built after October 31, 2010, while potentially equipped with the same floor mats, are equipped with a Brake Over Accelerator (BOA) feature that prevents simultaneous accelerator and brake application, allowing the vehicle to be safely stopped by pressing firmly and steadily on the brake pedal.
