This truck was parked in the driveway for at least 24 hours. The battery was dead, so my fiancé got the jumper box out of the truck and popped the hood. After he lifted the hood, he got one of the clamps on the battery when the truck started to roll forward. He couldn’t get out in enough time and was run over. The truck can be inspected upon request. There was a police report and insurance report but no one inspected the vehicle.
I was driving southbound freeway I 35 in Oklahoma City at around 60mph lost control of my vehicle and crashed into the median barrier that divides both freeways crashed head on and the airbags. Not even one of them deployed hit my head with the steering wheel And driver passenger door window
I had an accident , last night 08/04/2022 I was parked an upper hill and out of no were my truck blast up w speed and went forward at full speed I couldn’t control it I try braking and the brakes weren’t working my foot was literally all the way forward. The steering wheel got really hard couldn’t control it . Unfortunately I end up crashing and hitting an innocent man performing his job my truck stopped and crushed the poor man into his truck … Not Even the air bags or sensors turn on they failed , it’s like if something took over my truck . I recently purchased this truck about a month ago and some sensors kept coming up out of no were but then they would disappear I don’t know if was an electrical problem. But this car caused a accident .
Caught fire after minor car accident. Impact to left front fender, minimal damage to body.
On July 14, 2023 at approximately 07:15 am, my 2022 Nissan Frontier SV caught on fire. I got home from work at approximately 07:05 am. There were no signs of a possibility of a fire. The front left corner of the truck was destroyed along with other things that melted from the fire. The damage at this time is approximately $27,000. The truck is being investigated as a thermal incident through Nissan USA. They say it will take approximately 8 weeks to finish. At this time it is unsure as to the cause of the fire. You will also see a picture of warning lights from May 10, 2023. I was told not to worry about them because the front sensor was probably wet. Nissan could not trace a problem code.
I purchased a new trailer wire end connector for my utility trailer 7 wire flat that plugs into rear of pickup. I purchased Hopkins Endurance 7RV metal Connector#48510. This connector is metal and has two piece pistol grip handle. I followed all instructions. The last step was to apply the two piece handle on frame over wires inside. This is problem When you put them togather and apply supplied screw you are to put screw thru inside 7 wires that you can not see. when I turned on I got instant smoke/fire blown fuse. The screw went between ground&hot wire. Delay in short could have caused accident or unattended fire. Product reviews show other owners having same problem as I experienced.
I do not know what caused this to happen. There were no warning lights or messages. Prior to this incident the transmission would rev/speed up on its own for a few seconds (I don't know if this is relevant). Salesperson told me about this and said it was nothing to worry about. The vehicle is equipped with a sensor that brakes if you come to close to an object. This sensor has definitely worked in the past. I was backing up down a long driveway, approximately 50 yards. When I took my foot off of the gas pedal, it did not slow down. Instead it sped up and was uncontrollable. I looked down to make sure my foot was on the brake which it was. I then used both feet to push down on the brake but that did not work either. The vehicle did not stop until it ran into a building. If somebody would have been behind me they would have died or been seriously injured. If the building would not have been there, I might have died or been seriously injured due to the vehicle accelerating at a high speed on its own and the brakes failing to stop the vehicle. This incident happened yesterday so it has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or inspected by the manufacturer or insurance. It happened on private property and will not be inspected by the police.
I was on a gravel road that was nearly level to very slightly up hill. Upon passing some branches that were hanging partially over the road, I decided to trim them so they would not cause me trouble on my way back. I put vehicle in REVERSE and backed up maybe 20', shifted into PARK, got out (left vehicle running), opened the rear door to get clippers and closed it. Walked to the bush maybe 15' to rear of vehicle and clipped a couple small branches and I suddenly heard gravel noise and looked up to see my truck moving FORWARD on its own. I immediately ran after it and it veered left, left the road, proceeded down a hill and crashed into a small tree! This vehicle was a part of the Nissan Parking Pawl recall. I had the needed repairs done by Nissan on April 11th 2023. The vehicle malfunctioned!! Problem has not been reproduced. There has been no inspection by anyone at this time. There were no warnings.
The contact owned a 2022 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated while driving 15 mph, the traction control and the ABS warning lights were illuminated. The contact did not sustain any injuries nor sought medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not drivable. The insurance company deemed the vehicle totaled. The contact towed the vehicle first to a towing lot and then towed it again to a body shop. The vehicle was not diagnosed. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.

The contact called on behalf of her husband who owns a 2022 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated while her husband was in park, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated and crashed into a parked vehicle in front of them, and that vehicle crashed into another unattended parked vehicle in front of that. The contact's vehicle went over the curb when it crashed into the vehicle in front of them. The contact stated her husband felt as if he was being pushed. The driver was pressing on the brakes, but the vehicle continued to move forward. There was an unknown yellow light that illuminated. There were no air bags deployed. The contact and husband approached the nearby house and were informed of the accident. The neighbor contacted the police. The police arrived on the scene and filed a report. There were no injuries. There were no medical treatments on the scene. The contact entire front of the vehicle was damaged, and the passenger side of the vehicle in front of them was damaged. The vehicle was taken to the local independent repair body shop. The employee of the body shop informed the contact to notify the manufacturer regarding the failure and damages. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number 22V457000 (Power Train). The approximate failure mileage was 2,000.
June 24, 2022 driving the vehicle at average speed 52-54 in highways when i pressed the brake it didnt respond, the automatic emergency braking did not activate or stop the vehicle. The air bag's also didn't were deployed, or engaged. The vehicle stop with the back section of the close vehicle in front. Thanks GOD, NOBODY WAS HURT PHYSICALLY.
On June 29, 2022 My 2022 Nissan Frontier was parked drive in front of garage door. I arrived home for lunch and parked my cab farm tractor in yard under shade tree to keep cool while I was inside my home. When I came back to leave my tractor had Frontier truck sitting against front tire of my tractor, the truck had moved 25 yards for no reason. The truck had made slight contact with tractor bumper with tail light lense laying in yard, the trailer ball had also struck tractor tire and prevented hard impact. I went in garage and obtained key fob and found truck still in park. I tested truck and all functions were normal as they were 6 weeks ago when I purchased new. Key was not in truck and no one else had access in the 15 minutes I was inside. The parking brake was not used by wife when she parked, but it was in park. Mileage was 2550 . I someone had been standing between the two vehicles they could have been rolled over. I'm out over 500 bucks for tail light, I checked vin number, was advised no recalls. Wife is learning to use parking brake.
A warning light came on my dash. When I took it to the dealership they told me my airbag module would need to be replaced based on their diagnostic. They told me my airbags are possibly not working at this time. I feel this is a huge safety issue. Since I am unable to afford the $2919.90 to have it replaced I am driving a unsafe vehicle.
After some driving my Forward Driving Aids light comes on showing the Front Sensor is blocked which it isn't and my Radio sounds like static which will stop if I turn the radio off then back on again but does it multiple times while driving also gets very staticy when a phone is plugged in to charge.
