I'M WRITING TO YOU ABOUT AN INCIDENT THAT TOOK PLACE ON MAY 18, 2019. MY HUSBAND AND I WERE TRAVELING HOME IN OUR CADILLAC SRX AT ABOUT 6:00 PM OUR CAR SUDDENLY SPUN OUT OF CONTROL AS WE HEARD A BANG, THROWING US ACROSS THREE LANES LISTENING TO CARS SCREECHING ALL AROUND US ON THE NJ TURNPIKE, WE THEN HIT INTO THE SIDE OF A TRACTOR TRAILER, PUSHING US BACK AGAIN ACROSS THE THREE LANES UNTIL WE FINALLY STOPPED IN THE FAR LEFT LANE. OUR INSURANCE COMPANY HAS COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THIS WAS A FAULTY ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. TO BE EXACT IT WAS THE REAR TOE LINK ADJUSTER LOCK NUT TORQUE. THE NEXT DAY I CALLED MY FAMILY TO TELL THEM WHAT HAD HAPPENED. ABOUT TWO HOURS LATER MY SISTER CALLED ME BACK AND SAID 'THERE IS A RECALL ON YOUR VEHICLE MODEL. IT INVOLVES THE REAR SUSPENSION.' (BULLETIN NO: 14457C; REAR TOE LINK ADJUSTER LOCK NUT TORQUE) SHE GAVE ME THE WEBSITE WHERE YOU CAN ENTER YOUR VIN # AND CHECK TO SEE IF THE VEHICLE WAS PART OF THE RECALL. OUR VEHICLE WAS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST. I CHECKED AGAIN AND AGAIN. I CHECKED MY PAPERWORK FROM WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE (USED BUT CERTIFIED, OFF OF A LEASE) AND THE CARFAX. NO RECALL. AFTER HAVING THE INSURANCE COMPANY INSPECT THE VEHICLE, THEY, IN FACT, STATED THAT THE ACCIDENT WAS CAUSED BY THE REAR SUSPENSION (REAR TOE LINK ADJUSTER)

THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER (MICHAEL CADILLAC LOCATED AT 5787 N BLACKSTONE AVE, FRESNO, CA 93710 (559) 431-6008) WHERE IT WAS PENDING TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 61,000.
On June 16, 2026, while traveling southbound on Highway 67 in Cedar Hill, Texas, my 2015 Cadillac SRX suffered a sudden, catastrophic tracking failure and crashed into a highway wall (Cedar Hill PD CFS Report 7655). Component Failed & Availability: The rear suspension toe link assembly separated at highway speeds, a direct failure matching active GM safety recall NHTSA 21V473. The totaled, un-repaired vehicle is preserved at a Copart yard and is 100% available for inspection. Safety Risk: The sudden tracking loss at highway speeds caused an immediate, un-correctable collision with a concrete wall, creating a severe, life-threatening risk to myself and surrounding traffic. Service Confirmation: On June 2, 2026 (at 165,006 miles), an independent service center (Discount Tire) documented an over-torque of the rear right wheel to 140 ft-lbs, introducing severe mechanical stress directly adjacent to the defective recall joint right before the crash. Inspections & Warnings: Documented by responding police (CFS Report 7655). There were zero dashboard warning lamps, messages, or physical symptoms prior to the sudden structural failure.
I was in an accident on 8/19/22. I was completely stopped when struck head on by a Ram Truck with a Ranch-hand bumper. The hit totaled my car, bending the frame and pushing the left front of the vehicle up against the firewall and driving my vehicle sideways. However, the airbag did not deploy. The car is now in possession of Texas Farm Bureau Insurance. My head struck the driver's-side window, and I suffered a head injury, whiplash which resulted in a concussion, and neck and back injuries. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the accident.
There have been ongoing complaints about the headlights on this car. I avoid driving my car at night due to the fact that visibility is compromised. I had a SERIOUS near miss while driving at night. I was driving on a residential street and did not see a bicyclist going the same direction. The bicyclist veered slightly into my lane and I literally DID NOT see them. Causing me to clip their rear tire causing them to loose control and hit a curb. This is SERIOUS! The police said the headlights on my car were clearly a hazard! In my mind it would make sense for GM to replace the headlights rather than having to pay for a wrongful death lawsuit.
WHILE TRAVELING ON 295 S IN RI .. I FELT WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A BLOW-OUT OF MY RIGHT REAR TIRE. I LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE SWAYING ALL OVER THE ROAD LOSING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. LUCKLY I WENT OFF THE ROAD ONTO THE GRASSY AREA BUT WAS HEADING TOWARD TREES, I MANAGED TO TURN SLIGHTLY TO ONLY SIDE SWIPE ALL THE TREES BEFORE COMING TO A STOP. ALL THE AIR BAGS SIDE CURTAINS DEPLOYED. WHEN FIRST RESPONDERS ARRIVED ON THE SCENE LET GOT ME OUT OF THE CAR. EXPLAINING ABOUT THE BLOW-OUT THEY EXAMINED THE TIRE TO FIND NO FLAT... THEY TOWED THE VEHICLE, THE MECHANIC CALLED IN THE MORNING TO REPORT THE ISSUE WAS THE SUSPENSION.... HE STATED THE INNER TIRE ROD END WAS NOT TOUQED PROPERLY. MY 2015 SRX WAS TOTALED.
REAR LIFT GATE IS AUTOMATICALLY CLOSING, AND DOESN'T STAY OPEN. I'VE BEEN INJURED BY THIS & HAVE PICTURES OF MY BRUISES. I WASN'T ABLE TO STOP THE LIFT GATE FROM CLOSING & WAS PINNED IN MY TRUNK. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS! I'VE READ ABOUT SIMILAR SITUATIONS ON LINE. I'M VERY SURPRISED THERE ISN'T A RECALL ABOUT THIS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER THE REAR HATCH DOOR ELECTRONICALLY OPENED, THE WIFE REACHED INSIDE THE TAILGATE AREA TO PUT GROCERY BAGS INSIDE WHEN THE REAR HATCH DOOR ERRONEOUSLY RELEASED AND CAME DOWN STRIKING THE WIFE IN THE HEAD. DURING THE INCIDENT, THE WIFE SUSTAINED A MINOR HEAD INJURY. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER ED MARTIN CADILLAC LOCATED AT 5400 S SCATTERFIELD RD, ANDERSON, IN 46013 WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON I-95 AT NIGHT, WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC, LEGALLY FORBIDDING THE USE OF HI-BEAMS, A DEER, I BELIEVE, SUDDENLY CROSSED THE ROAD, 50-75 FEET IN FRONT OF MY VEHICLE. THE LOW BEAMS ON THE VEHICLE ARE SO POOR I WAS UNABLE TO SEE THE DEER UNTIL IT WAS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. I HAD TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES AND VIOLENTLY SWERVE TO THE RIGHT, LEAVING THE ROAD SURFACE IN A SIDEWAYS SLIDE, CROSSING THE SHOULDER AND FINALLY STOPPING ON THE GRASS, HEADING DOWN HILL, ONLY INCHES FROM A POST. THIS LACK OF EFFICIENT HEAD LIGHTING, NOW KNOWN TO BE FROM HEADLIGHT UNIT SEAL FAILURE LEADING TO LOW LIGHT LEVELS FROM THE PROJECTORS, CAUSED THIS ACCIDENT. THE PASSENGER STRUCK HER HEAD ON THE PASSENGER WINDOW AND SUFFERED A BUMP AND BRUISE TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF HER HEAD. IT IS NOW MY UNDERSTANDING THAT MITIGATING THIS SEAL FAILURE WILL COST ME ABOUT $1600.00 AT THE CADILLAC DEALER. ADDITIONALLY, I UNDERSTAND THAT THE ONLY REPLACEMENT AVAILABLE FROM CADILLAC IS THE SAME UNIT THAT HAS FAILURES AND THAT NO UPGRADED UNIT HAS BEEN MADE. ADDITIONALLY, I UNDERSTAND THAT CADILLAC HAS BEEN FOUND LIABLE IN A CLASS ACTION SUIT REGARDING THESE FAULTY HEADLIGHTS IN FLORIDA AND CALIFORNIA, HOWEVER, NOT IN MY STATE OF RESIDENCE, ALTHOUGH, COINCIDENTALLY, MY ACCIDENT OCCURRED IN FLORIDA. THESE 300,000 VEHICLES NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED FROM MODEL YEARS 2010 TO 2016, AS THEY ALL USE THE SAME HALOGEN HEADLIGHTS. IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME, UNLESS ALREADY OCCURRED, UNTIL LOSS OF LIFE IS SUFFERED FROM THESE INADEQUATE HEADLIGHT UNITS. MY PARTNER, THE PRIMARY DRIVER OF THIS VEHICLE, IS NOW AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR AND WILL NOT DRIVE IT IN ANY CONDITION OTHER THAN DAYLIGHT, CAUSING HARDSHIP ON US.
ON NOV 1ST 2015 RETURNING FROM NORTH CAROLINA TO FLORIDA MY HEATED SEAT OVERHEATED CAUSING 2ND DEGREE BURNS. THE DEALERSHIP DENIES ANY PROBLEMS EVEN AFTER I SHOWED THEM PHOTO OF THE INJURY.
-I WAS TRAVELING SOUTH ON FM , MILES NORTH OF MIAMI, TX WHEN A DEER RAN OUT IN FRONT OF ME. I STRUCK IT FRONT CENTER AND ONSTAR IMMEDIATELY CALLED FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES. FIRST THING I NOTICED WAS ONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND AFTER PULLING OF THE ROAD AND COMING TO A STOP, I NOTICED A FIRE FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. I EXITED THE VEHICLE AND STILL ON THE PHONE WITH ONSTAR, MY CAR FULLY ENGULFED WITHIN 15 MINUTES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS ON SITE AFTER THE CAR WAS FULLY ENGULFED AND TOOK AN HOUR TO PUT OUT THE FLAMES. MY CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS. NO ONE KNOWS WHY IT CAUGHT FIRE, WHAT CAUSED IT.
My vehicle caught fire while driving it. There was no warning…no engine lights on, no smoking engine. The fire seemed to start behind the dashboard of the passenger side. Less than 5 minutes and the car was completely engulfed in flames. My insurance company said there was too much damage to tell me what caused the fire.
